“This is our God!” (10 mins.)
Dear brothers and sisters, have you ever seen a child say to his friends, “That’s my dad”? We can imagine his smiling face, reflecting how proud he is of his father. It’s a very touching image, isn’t it? We, Jehovah’s servants, also have many reasons to be proud of our God.
We have many reasons to be proud of our God, Jehovah (Is 25:9; cl 15 par. 21).
Imagine the excitement a child feels when talking about their dad. Now imagine that same excitement, but amplified a thousand times, when we talk about our Heavenly Father. This excitement stems from the fact that we have the best Father we could ever have; He loves us unconditionally and is always ready to help us.
The Bible predicts that the day will come when they will exclaim, “Look! This is our God!”
LET'S READ ISAIAH 25:9
“On that day they will say: ‘Look! This is our God! We have put our hope in him, and he will save us. This is Jehovah! We have put our hope in him. Let us be very glad and rejoice in the salvation that comes from him.’”
The more we come to know His beautiful qualities, the more certain we will be that we have the best Father in the entire universe. The blessings our God will bestow upon us are cause for honor and praise. He, as a loving Father, will give us countless good things in the new world.
Jehovah will give us many good things in the new world, including abundant quality food (Is 25:6; w24.12 6 par. 14).
In the new world, Jehovah will give us the opportunity to live in a world without suffering or tears, a world where justice and peace will reign. Furthermore, the Bible indicates that God's will includes good food on earth and promises that, under Jehovah's Kingdom, there will be plenty of quality food.
LET'S READ ISAIAH 25:6
“On this mountain, the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a feast of fine wine, rich food filled with marrow, of good, well-blended wine.”
This text paints a beautiful picture: a banquet of delicious food and excellent wine, prepared by Jehovah himself. But we will also receive something of far greater value: eternal life. Let us imagine what our life will be like in Paradise. There will be no more hospitals; cemeteries will be empty, and sickness and death will no longer be a concern for us.
Psalm 72:16 foretells that “grain will be abundant in the land, exceedingly abundant on the mountaintops.” Imagine using that grain to bake your favorite bread or even trying new recipes. Think, too, of the satisfaction of enjoying the fruit of vineyards you have planted yourself, just as Isaiah 65:21, 22 promises.
He will give us eternal life (Is 25:7, 8; w25.01 28, 29 pars. 11, 12).
Let us imagine what our life would be like in Paradise, where sickness and death would no longer be a concern, and where Jehovah would give us all the good things we could ever want. Best of all, we would be able to worship Jehovah without feeling guilty for having done anything wrong.
LET'S READ ISAIAH 25:7, 8
“On this mountain he will remove the shroud that envelops all peoples and the woven fabric that covers all nations. 8 He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. He will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken.”
This text paints a very moving picture: Jehovah himself drying our tears and giving us a peace we can't even imagine today. Very soon, pain and suffering will be a thing of the past, and Jehovah will give us all those good things we have longed for.
And don't think we'll be bored. We'll have all of eternity to discover talents we may not have even known we possessed. Some will be able to learn art or music. There will also be much we can do with our hands. Builders, architects, and gardeners will be needed to transform the Earth into a beautiful place.
Imagine having all the time in the world to learn whatever you want!

The image in our activity guide shows us the inspiring example of this older brother. Despite being in a wheelchair, he takes every opportunity to tell his caregiver about the wonders of God. His faith reminds us that there are no limitations to sharing our hope.
Jesus instructed us to ask for our daily bread, and soon we will see that request fulfilled in abundance: a bounty of food on the mountain. What joy it will be to prepare new recipes with the grain of the earth and delight in the produce of our own vineyards!
Conclusion
Very soon, Paradise will cease to be a future promise and will become a reality. All of this will be possible thanks to the immense love of Jehovah, who gave his Son to die for us.
Let us never forget how privileged we are to have the best Father in the universe, and so, with complete confidence and deep pride, we may say together with millions of faithful servants: “Look! This is our God!”
