Watchtower Study, How Jehovah's Love Benefits Us, March 31-April 6, 2025, Comments and Responses.
“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 TIM. 1:15).
1. How can we make Jehovah happy?
We can make Jehovah happy by showing our gratitude for the gift of the ransom and the love he showed us through our obedience, faith, and love toward Him. Just as when we give a gift to someone we care about and are happy to see them use and appreciate it, Jehovah is happy when we show our gratitude for the gift of the ransom and “use” it by living according to his principles and teachings.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We can make Jehovah happy by thanking him every day for the love he gives us and for giving his Son for us. Therefore, our way of showing our love and gratitude is to know His teachings and commandments, but also to help other people know what He did for us.
We can consider that what Jehovah did for all of us human beings was to give us the most wonderful gift he can give us. We can understand what it means to appreciate it with the example of when we give a gift to someone, thinking precisely of that person, with all our affection, and we see that they really appreciate it, use it and value it.
It is said that it is difficult for someone to die for a righteous man but perhaps someone is willing to die for a good man. However, God has shown us his own love in this way when we were still sinners Christ died for us since he made plans to save us long before we had shown any appreciation to him and without any of us deserving it.
It is said that it is difficult for someone to die for a righteous man, but perhaps someone is willing to die for a good man. However, God has shown us His own love in this way: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us, since He made plans to save us long before we had shown any appreciation to Him and without any of us deserving it.
2. What will we see in this article?
In this article we will see how we can keep our gratitude alive for the gift of the ransom that Jehovah has given us through Jesus. As time passes, it is easy to take this gift for granted and forget its meaning and value. However, it is important to remember and meditate on what Jehovah and Jesus have done for us, so that we can continue to appreciate and value their love and sacrifice.
In this article we will talk about how the bailout benefits us in the present and how it can continue to benefit us in the future. We will also explore ways we can show our gratitude to Jehovah for his love, especially during the Memorial season.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We should regularly meditate on what Jehovah and Jesus have done for us.
We will talk about how the bailout benefits us now and how it can benefit us in the future.
We will also look at how we can show Jehovah that we are grateful for his love, especially during the Memorial season.
It is important, especially if we have been in the truth for many years and are accustomed to attending many Memorials. Perhaps, as the years go by, we may take that gift for granted as something that is there, but that we hold onto throughout the year and may only remember a little during the Memorial season. So it is good that we keep that memory alive and that we always keep it present in our lives, in terms of what it really represents, regardless of how many years we have been in the truth.
HOW WE BENEFIT NOW
3. What is one way we now benefit from the bailout?
One of the ways we now benefit from the ransom is that Jehovah forgives us our sins because of Christ's sacrifice. This is not something that Jehovah is obligated to do, but rather he does it because he desires to do it, demonstrating his goodness and mercy toward us. As David expressed in one of his songs, Jehovah is good and willing to forgive our sins.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Jehovah forgives us of sins. According to Psalm 103:10-13, even if we have done very bad things, if we base ourselves on Jesus' sacrifice and repent, then Jehovah forgives us and allows us to have a closer relationship with Him.
How beautiful, as according to Psalm 103:12, it is not that Jehovah tells us: "I forgive you, but I do not forget." No, it says, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He placed our sins from us." Thus Jehovah keeps them away, so that they do not come to mind, and He forgets them.
Psalm 86:5 also shows that Jehovah forgives because he wants to, not because he has to, as he says he is willing to forgive. So, even if there are reasons to condemn us, He always looks for reasons to forgive us.
4. For whom did Jehovah give the ransom? (Luke 5:32; 1 Timothy 1:15).
Jehovah gave the ransom for imperfect people who repent of their sins. It is not that we deserve forgiveness, but that Jehovah loves us and wants to forgive us. As the Bible says, Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Therefore, no matter how imperfect we are; If we repent of our sins, Jehovah forgives us.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Jehovah gave us the ransom for imperfect people, not for perfect people, who repent of their sins.
The apostle Paul highlighted this, for example, in 1 Timothy 1:12-16 and also in 1 Corinthians 15:9-10. He, three times, mentioned that thanks to the undeserved kindness of Jehovah he was what he was. With this emphasis, he wanted to imply that it was not something he could achieve on his own. Likewise, we can imitate Paul if we realize that the rescue is definitely something we do not deserve, and that helps us value it.
Since Adam and Eve sinned, who is righteous on earth? Nobody; we are all sinners. But why do we have this hope? He says that not because we deserve it, but because Jehovah loves us, and that love is what allows us to achieve what Jehovah originally wanted: eternal life for all human beings.
The paragraph begins by saying that there are those who feel that they do not deserve Jehovah's forgiveness, but in reality, those of us who may feel this way are the ones who should be most happy, because precisely for that purpose Jehovah gave his Son. So, rather than getting sad or breaking down, we should say, "That's great!"
5. Why can no one claim to deserve Jehovah's mercy?
No one can claim to deserve Jehovah's mercy because it is not payment for services rendered, but rather a free gift. Jehovah gave us his Son as a gift, not because we deserved it, but because he loves us. If we thought we had earned his mercy, we would be implicitly saying that we did not need Christ's death to save us, which is a mistake.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Because if we made this statement, we would be saying what the text of Galatians 2:21 mentions: we are saying that it was of no use that Christ died for us. Because, although it is true that Jehovah values our efforts, they are not enough to obtain this mercy, and we would be considering this gift from Jehovah, for which we must thank him, as an acquired right that we are demanding. And this cannot be so.
The Bible, in Hebrews 6:10, reminds us that God is not unfair to forget what we have done and what we continue to do for the Kingdom. He did not give us his Son as payment for services rendered, as the paragraph says, but as a gift, and as such we should appreciate him.
6. Why did Paul strive in his service to Jehovah?
Because he wanted to show his gratitude for God's undeserved kindness. Although he knew he could not earn God's forgiveness, he wanted to show his appreciation for the gift of ransom he had received. Likewise, we continue to serve Jehovah enthusiastically to demonstrate our gratitude for his mercy and love.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
In the same way, we continue to serve Jehovah enthusiastically, not because we want to earn his mercy, but because we want to show him that we are grateful for it.
In Ephesians 3:7, Paul recognizes that, out of undeserved kindness, he had received this gift from God and that, therefore, he had become a minister of the good news, to show how grateful he was for the gift that Jehovah had given him.
Show that we are grateful for what He has done, not because we earn what He gives us, but, although we have not earned it properly, we do it out of gratitude to Him.
7. What is another way we now benefit from the bailout? (Romans 5:1; James 2:23).
Another way we now benefit from the rescue is that we can have a close friendship with Jehovah. Because of the rescue, we are able to enjoy peace with God and draw closer to Him, allowing us to have a more intimate and personal relationship with Him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Through the rescue, we can have a close friendship with Jehovah, enjoy peace with God, and grow closer to Him.
As the note says, Jehovah forgave even his servants who lived before Christ paid the ransom, and he was so sure that his Son would be faithful until death, that in his eyes it was as if the ransom had already been paid.
As we have read in James, we can have the honor that Abraham had, for his faith, who was declared a friend of Jehovah. And that is the greatest privilege that any human being can enjoy.
If we have faith in Jesus, we will enjoy peace with Jehovah and be his friends.
8. Why should we be grateful to Jehovah for the privilege of prayer?
We should be grateful to Jehovah for the privilege of prayer because it allows us to strengthen our friendship with Him and maintain a close relationship with Him.
Prayer not only brings us inner peace and comfort, but it also allows us to communicate with Jehovah in a personal and direct way.
Thanks to Jesus' sacrifice, we can approach Jehovah with confidence and pray to him knowing that He listens to us and cares about our lives.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Because he listens to us anywhere and at any time. Not only did He give us the gift of being able to talk to Him at any time, but He is attentive to what we say to Him.
Prayer calms us and gives us inner peace, but the most important thing is that it helps us strengthen our faith with Jehovah. And, as James 4:8 mentions, that is a way for Him to draw near to us if we draw near to Him.
Psalm 65:2 says, "To you, who hears prayer, people of all kinds will flock to you." Then, we can be sure that He not only hears the prayers that are said in public or in meetings, but also each of us who prays fervently to Him. He also listens to us, because communication between us and Him is very important to Him, and it also strengthens our friendship with Jehovah.
As 1 John 5:14 tells us, whatever we ask Jehovah in prayer, but that is in accordance with his will, He listens to us, and in due time, will give us the solution.
We are very grateful for this means that Jehovah has provided, because, as it says in Luke 5:16, Christ looked for secluded places to pray. Likewise, we must meditate on the ransom sacrifice, and this will bring us closer to Jehovah and will help us strengthen this friendship we have with Him.
It is impressive to think that, just as Jehovah listened to Jesus, he also listens to us. Because Jesus Christ was perfect, we are not, and yet his ears are also ready to listen to us. Because? For the rescue. Another reason to thank Jehovah for the rescue, which allows us to have such an intimate friendship with Him, that He listens to us.
Because Jehovah forgives our sins and because we can have a close and intimate friendship with Jehovah.
HOW WE CAN BENEFIT IN THE FUTURE
9. How will Jehovah’s faithful servants benefit from the ransom in the future?
Jehovah's faithful servants will benefit from the ransom in the future by receiving eternal life. According to Jehovah's original purpose, we were created to live forever.
Although death has been a reality for thousands of years, Jehovah has made eternal life possible through the sacrifice of his Son. In this way, we will benefit from eternal life, which is an incredible gift and a fulfillment of divine purpose.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
If we are loyal to Jehovah to the end, He will give us eternal life. And although this may seem impossible, this was truly Jehovah's original purpose for us when he created us.
In Romans 8:32 we see that He did not spare the life of His Son for nothing, but to give eternal life to all of us.
10. What are the anointed and the other sheep looking forward to?
The Anointed Ones and the other sheep await with great excitement and longing the fulfillment of their respective hopes. The Anointed Ones long to live in heaven and reign together with Christ, while the other sheep long to live in paradise on Earth, where there will be no pain or suffering.
This hope of living forever on Earth is not a second-rate prize, but rather it is the way human beings were originally designed to live, and that will make us totally happy.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
According to Revelation 20:6, the anointed have the hope of living and reigning in heaven as priests of God and Christ, and will do so for 1,000 years. And the other sheep long to live in paradise on Earth, where there will be no pain or suffering.
There is no doubt that it must be impressive to be able to be at Jehovah's side in heaven, but we were not created with that desire. Most of us want to be able to enjoy the earth, Jehovah's creation, the animals. So, it's not a second prize at all; It is the reward we deserve.
11, 12. What are some of the blessings of Paradise that we long for? (See also images).
Some of the blessings of paradise we long for include the absence of disease and death, allowing us to live without worry or fear. We will also have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills and knowledge without limits, as we will have an eternity to explore and discover.
In addition, we will have the possibility of receiving the resurrected and meeting loved ones who have died. We can also continue learning about Jehovah and his creation, allowing us to deepen our relationship with Him.
And the best of all is that we will be able to worship Jehovah without feeling guilty about our mistakes, which will allow us to enjoy a more intimate and pure relationship with Him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
In Isaiah 25:8 it says that Jehovah will eliminate death forever, and in Isaiah 33:24 it says that no one will be sick. So that is one of the blessings we look forward to: that Jehovah will eliminate both sickness and death.
They say that the most valuable thing someone can give us is time, because it is exactly what we don't have. However, in paradise we will have eternity to spend time with the people we love.
It will be very good to have the opportunity to receive those who are resurrected, to be able to teach them, to learn together about Jehovah and all the things he has created. And especially it will be very good to be able to worship Jehovah without feeling guilty for having done something we shouldn't. This is a hope for the future, but soon it will become a reality and we will live it.
It's very nice to think that we will have an eternity to learn what we want, different professions or skills that we can develop in the future. And this also keeps us alive with the hope of keeping an eye on this very near future.
All these blessings that we have listed, which are something that we all desire, as the paragraph very well concludes, are thanks to the fact that Jesus died. So it is worth thanking him and also demonstrating it through our faith and our works.
How beautiful to meditate, as the psalmist did in Psalm 104:24, he said: "How many are your works, O Lord, in wisdom you have done them all. The earth is full of your knowledge." This helps us, if we also meditate on all of Jehovah's creation, we feel very excited and encourages us to continue learning about Him and about all the things He has created. And to think that he has done all this to show us his love as great as the sacrifice of his Son was.
The image shows us that behind each of these things that we can do in paradise, we see all the love and sacrifice that Jehovah has put. Jehovah wants to see us like this, he wants to see us there in paradise, enjoying ourselves, perhaps playing the violin or picking grapes, with the animals. How nice when the paragraph says that any sacrifice is worth it because soon we will be in paradise.
In the illustration you see a brother playing the violin and a sister eating some grapes. But what is striking is that in the paragraph he said: "He would like to learn physics, he would like to learn chemistry." And you may think: "Well, I guess not many." But the truth is that, when we think about these sciences, it is what will allow us to understand all of Jehovah's physical laws and how we get food, precisely, thanks to physics and chemistry.
We see that constructions will be made. One of the texts mentioned in this paragraph talked about that: that in the desert there would also be vegetation, and there would be buildings because there will be people there. All of this will have to be done, and we will have to develop those skills if we don't already have them. It will be a blessing from Jehovah to be able, in the end, to enjoy life as He intended, and for that he paid with the life of his Son.
Thinking about construction, he also draws attention when he talks about people making tools as an activity for the new world. Obviously you will have to organize yourself to be able to build later.
ILLUSTRATION
Images of brothers enjoying life in Paradise: 1. A couple builds a house. 2. A brother plays the violin. 3. A couple runs to meet their little daughter who has just been resurrected. 4. A sister in her pottery workshop molds clay to make a vessel. 5. A sister harvests many grapes. 6. A father and his son watch a sloth climbing a tree.
What blessings of Paradise are you most looking forward to enjoying? (See paragraphs 11 and 12).
LET'S SHOW JEHOVAH THAT WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR HIS LOVE
13. How can we show that we are grateful for Jehovah's love? (2 Corinthians 6:1).
We can show our gratitude for Jehovah’s love by making serving him the most important thing in our lives. This means prioritizing our relationship with Him and seeking to fulfill His will in everything we do.
By doing so, we are showing that we value the sacrifice Jesus made for us and that we are willing to live for Him rather than ourselves.
As the Bible says: "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness." By doing so, we are showing our gratitude for Jehovah’s undeserved love and kindness.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Putting service to Jehovah first and making it the most important thing in our lives.
The text we read serves as a warning to us, because it is clear that all of us have accepted Jehovah's invitation to receive those blessings. But the same text that Paul was mentioning says that we must not lose sight of the goal. That is, we have made a change, we have accepted and want to receive those blessings, but now we take it for granted and we forget to really what we should do and what our objective is.
Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the kingdom and its righteousness." It means that we must see how important and how important it must be for us to serve Jehovah, and even more so with the hope of doing so for an eternity.
This is something we must demonstrate every day. With our decisions we demonstrate what is most important in our life, with what we decide. Whether, for example, related to the studies we are going to pursue, whether we are at that moment in life in which we must decide what to do with our life, or the job we are going to choose. What is most important in us is reflected in our decisions, and we want to demonstrate, of course, that Jehovah is the most important thing in our lives.
14. How can we show that we have faith in Jehovah's instructions?
We can demonstrate our faith in Jehovah's instructions by following them in our daily lives. This means that when we have to make decisions, we must consider what Jehovah wants us to do and act accordingly. By doing so, we demonstrate our faith and trust in Him and His instructions.
When we demonstrate our faith with works, several benefits occur: Our faith and friendship with God are strengthened, allowing us to deepen our relationship with Him and feel closer to Him. Additionally, our hope for the future is strengthened, giving us confidence and assurance that Jehovah will always be with us and guide us on the right path.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We can demonstrate this when, when we have to make some decisions, we think about what Jehovah wants us to do.
Furthermore, they are sometimes personal decisions, such as studies or work, that perhaps we could say: "Here I can decide what is best for me", but in this way we show that we value the sacrifice that Jehovah and Jesus have made, if we take it into account even in those things.
Second Corinthians 5:7 talks about walking by faith and not by sight. If we go by sight, we are only going to make decisions thinking about the result that we are capable of achieving. But if it is by faith, we are going to take the risk, we are going to do it as Jehovah wants, and it will surely turn out much better for us.
James 2:21-22 says that Abraham acted in faith along with his works. When we do this, we have faith and we accompany it with works, something wonderful happens, as the paragraph mentions: our faith and our friendship with God grow and become stronger.
As Romans 5:4-5 says, "God's approval produces hope, and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit whom we have received." So, when we show that we love Jehovah and do all things for Him, we feel better, we grow much closer to Him, and our friendship becomes much greater.
15. How can we show gratitude during the Memorial season?
During the season of remembrance, we can show gratitude by attending the meeting and making plans to be present. We can also invite others to attend, explaining to them the meaning of this special meeting. We can show them jw.org videos on "Why did Jesus die?" and "Let us remember the death of Jesus."
Elders may invite inactive members to attend the meeting. We can make an effort to greet and make feel welcome to new attendees and those who have not attended in a long time. By doing these things, we can show our gratitude for Jehovah’s rescue and love.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Of course, making plans to be present ourselves, but also doing everything possible to invite other people to attend.
Another way to show gratitude is, as Romans 12:13 says, for us to be hospitable. And we can do that on the day of remembrance. Apart from greeting each other, usually, and our brothers who we see at almost every meeting, we should also be aware of people who are new and coming for the first time, as well as those who have not attended for a long time, and greet them as well.
One way to invite others to attend the memorial is to rely on 1 Timothy 2:4, for his will is that all kinds of people be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of the truth.
There are some inactive people who wish to attend, perhaps, the commemoration. So, it is said here that the elders should be sure to invite these inactive ones, for if they return, they will truly rejoice both in heaven and here on earth. Furthermore, we must greet them, be attentive and not say anything indiscreet. You have to receive them with affection.
Luke 15:4-7 says, "Which of you who has 100 sheep and loses one does not leave the 99 to find the one that is lost?" And at the end, in verse 6, he says, "Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep." This reflects how Jehovah feels. Although we all attend the commemoration as such a valuable and important event, when someone who has been away from Jehovah for a time returns, even just for this occasion, and wishes to draw closer to Him again, Jehovah is happy because it is someone he loves, for whom Jesus gave his life, and therefore, he deeply appreciates him.
16. Why should we consider increasing our service during the Memorial season?
We should consider increasing our service during the memorial season because it is a way to show appreciation for what Jehovah and Jesus have done for us and to strengthen our trust in Him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Because that is an excellent way to show our gratitude for what Jehovah and Jesus have done for us. The more we preach, the more we will see Jehovah's support and the stronger our faith and trust in Him will become.
Furthermore, it is important that we remember to read about the events before the commemoration. In this way, we will be more involved in everything that surrounds this week, which will begin with the important event that we will have on Saturday.
The paragraph also talks about thinking about a study project. Last week we saw in a photo a brother who, while following the daily reading in Appendix B at the end of the Bible, was helped by the book "Jesus, the truth and the life." That could be a study project: complement the reading with this book.
When we increase our preaching, the text speaks of us being coworkers with God. The more we collaborate with Him, the closer that relationship becomes. But, in addition, we also collaborate with the rest of the brothers who are making an effort to increase their service, and we really enjoy that service because we preach with many brothers with whom we do not have the opportunity to do so at other times.
It is good that this memorial month many brothers have made plans to increase their ministry! This means that the regular pioneers are also supporting them so that they can continue forward.
17. What makes Jehovah happy with us? (See also the box “Ways to Be Thankful for Jehovah's Love.”)
What makes Jehovah happy with us is the state of our hearts and our attitude of gratitude toward Him. Jehovah notices our intention and our desire to thank Him for the gift of the ransom.
To demonstrate this gratitude, we can consider some of the ways mentioned in the box “Ways to Give Thanks for Jehovah’s Love,” such as putting spiritual activities first, increasing our participation in the ministry, doing Bible reading for the commemoration, inviting others to attend, and greeting new attendees.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Jehovah does not compare us to what others do. Instead, as 1 Samuel 16:7 says, He does not look at what is before our eyes, as men do, but He sees our hearts. Therefore, you will be very happy with what we can do, depending on our circumstances, because you know that we are completely grateful for the rescue.
In Mark 12:41-44 we see how Jehovah and Jesus noticed what the poor widow could do, who, although she was so poor, put in everything she had to live on. So, in the same way, Jehovah and Jesus value what is in our hearts and everything we can do from all the suggestions that have been mentioned.
In the image for this paragraph, you see a request, probably for a regular pioneer, but almost certainly for an auxiliary, to participate a little more fully in the preaching and collaborate with the preaching campaign for the commemoration. And well, the slave, on these occasions, in these months, allows us to do the 15-hour one or the 30-hour one, we can choose, and in this way participate, as is being done this month, fully with the preaching.
At the bottom left we see how a family is doing the Bible reading for the commemoration, which is found in the booklet "Examine the Scriptures Every Day," and is something we can do as well.
Also invite as many people as possible to attend. It can be seen in the image that, even with the carts, it is being covered very well to invite people to the commemoration.
It is also very nice to see the first timers who come to the commemoration, and greet them, welcome them so that they also feel the love that Jehovah has given them through his Son. So we have to put effort into that part as well.
18. Why are we very grateful to Jehovah and Jesus?
We are very grateful to Jehovah and Jesus because, thanks to the ransom, we can receive forgiveness of our sins, be friends of Jehovah, and have the hope of living eternally.
This is possible thanks to the love of Jehovah and the sacrifice of Jesus, who gave his life for us. Therefore, it is important to always show our gratitude for their love and sacrifice.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We should be so grateful to Jehovah God, because through the ransom we can receive forgiveness of our sins, be friends of Jehovah, and hope to live forever. So, we must have that deep gratitude to both Jehovah and Jesus.
Jehovah expects us to be grateful for the ransom that Jehovah gave us through his son, to never take it for granted, and to show that we are grateful.
WHAT WOULD YOU ANSWER?
How do we benefit from the bailout now?
Thanks to the ransom, Jehovah forgives our sins, not because he is obliged, but because he wants to. We can have a closer relationship with Jehovah, as the rescue allows us to approach Him with confidence.
Rescue also gives us hope to live eternally, which fills us with joy and purpose. Furthermore, the ransom shows us Jehovah's kindness and love toward us, inspiring us to be grateful and love him more.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We are already benefiting from it, from Christ's rescue. For example, through the ransom, Jehovah forgives our sins, not because he has to, but because he wants to.
We have also seen that it gives us the opportunity and privilege for Jehovah to consider us righteous, to call us his friends, as happened with Abraham, and also to be able to pray to him to bring us closer to Him.
How can we benefit from the rescue in the future?
We can benefit from the ransom in the future by receiving the eternal life that Jehovah has promised to his faithful servants.
Although death has been a reality for humans for thousands of years, Jehovah always intended for us to live forever.
The price He paid to give us that possibility back was the sacrifice of His own Son, which makes the promise of eternal life a tangible reality for those who are faithful to Him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Jehovah will give us all the good things we desire, and illness and death will no longer be a concern.
In the future we will have the eternal life for which we were created. That was Jehovah's purpose. The difference is that now, a few have the opportunity to ascend to heaven to rule with Christ, and the rest will live on earth converted into a paradise.
How can we show that we are grateful for the rescue?
We can show that we are grateful for the rescue by making serving Jehovah the most important thing in our lives. By prioritizing service to Jehovah, we are showing that we value the sacrifice of Jesus and the undeserved kindness of Jehovah.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Making serving Him the most important thing in our lives, demonstrating faith in His instructions will strengthen our friendship with Jehovah, and taking advantage of the memorial season to do more in Jehovah's service.
