DAILY TEXT, Today Wednesday December 4, 2024, I will change the language of the peoples to a pure language (Zeph. 3:9).
Let us examine the Scriptures every day 2024
Wednesday, December 4th
I will change the language of the peoples into a pure language (Zeph. 3:9).
Jehovah uses the Bible to fulfill his purpose for his servants to “serve him shoulder to shoulder.” He made sure that many parts of the Scriptures were written in such a way that only humble people could understand them. —Luke 10:21. The Bible is read by people all over the world. But only the humble can understand it and put into practice what it says. —2 Cor. 3:15, 16. Jehovah’s wisdom is reflected in the Bible. He uses the Scriptures not only to teach us as a group but to teach and comfort us individually. When we read his Word, we see that Jehovah cares deeply about each one of us. —Isa. 30:21. Have we ever read a scripture that suited us perfectly? Surely, many times. But if the Bible was written for millions of people, how can it be that it contains such up-to-date information that is tailored to the needs of each person? This is only possible because the Bible is the work of the wisest author alive. (2 Tim. 3:16, 17) w23.02 4, 5 pars. 8-10.
THE BIBLE REFLECTS GOD'S JUSTICE
How did God prove impartial when the Bible was written?
Justice is another of Jehovah’s primary qualities. (Deut. 32:4) It is closely related to impartiality, and Jehovah is impartial. (Acts 10:34, 35; Rom. 2:11) The languages he chose for the Bible to be written in demonstrate this. The first 39 books were written almost entirely in Hebrew, a language that God’s people at that time understood. However, by the time of the early Christians, many people spoke Greek. So the last 27 books of the Bible were written primarily in Greek. Jehovah was pleased that his Word be written in more than one language. Today, there are nearly 8 billion people on earth, and we speak different languages. What makes it possible for all of us to get to know Jehovah?
How has Daniel 12:4 been fulfilled in these last days?
Jehovah promised through the prophet Daniel that at the time of the end “true knowledge” would become “abundant”—that is, many people would understand what the Bible says. (Read Daniel 12:4.) One thing that has made this possible is that many copies of the Scriptures and Bible publications have been translated, edited, and distributed. In fact, the Bible is the most translated and distributed book in history. Many of the translations available for sale are very expensive. However, Jehovah’s people have already translated the Bible, in whole or in part, into more than 240 languages, and everyone can obtain a copy free of charge. What has been the result? Millions of people in all nations are accepting “the good news of the Kingdom” before the end comes. (Matt. 24:14.) Jehovah is a righteous God, and he wants as many people as possible to have the opportunity to get to know him by reading his Word. What motivates him? His great love for us.Books of Jehovah
Why do we say that the Bible reflects God's love? (John 21:25)
The Bible also reflects the most important quality of its author: love. (1 John 4:8) For example, consider what God included in the Bible and what he did not. He told us exactly what we need to know to be his friend, to have a happy life, and to live forever. But because Jehovah loves us so much, he has not burdened us with a lot of details that we do not need. (Read John 21:25.)
How else does the Bible reflect God's love?
Jehovah also shows us his love by treating us with dignity when he communicates with us. He doesn't give us an endless list of rules in the Bible to control even the smallest details of our lives. Instead, he uses real-life stories, exciting prophecies, and practical advice to help us make good decisions. In this way, the Bible motivates us to love God and obey him from the heart.
