Have you heard this expression? "In good and bad". Surely yes, we can use this expression to apply it to almost all facets of our life, including Our Christian Activity.
So, at what point in our lives can we show that we are loyal and neutral? Will it be only in the good times, or maybe in the bad times? Well we don't have to think about persecution or extreme situations to show Jehovah that we are loyal and neutral. And we say this because even in times of peace that is required of us and we are obliged to comply.
And you may wonder why we have the obligation to be loyal and neutral to God at all times? Let us remember that we have dedicated our lives to God, we have promised loyalty, love. For this reason we must obey Jehovah's righteous standards regardless of our country, our upbringing or our culture.
Hence the importance of being loyal to Jehovah and his kingdom above all things, and this requires loyalty and neutrality from us, which implies not getting involved in the conflicts of this world. And for what reason? The reason is because this world is the enemy of God. If you allow me, please accompany me to observe together what the text of Psalm 2:2 indicates, if you found it, please accompany me with the reading. says……………..
LET'S READ PSALMS 2:2.
The kings of the earth take their stand and the high officials gather as one against Jehovah and against his anointed.
Now, according to the text we have read, how do they turn against Jehovah? They oppose him by not accepting him as sovereign and the ruler here he has named is Jesus Christ. For this reason, by attacking God's loyal servants, who bring the good news, they demonstrate that they oppose Jehovah's anointed.
However, despite the fact that these governments and many that are part of this government demonstrate that they oppose God by persecuting his servants, Jehovah God does not give us up for lost, even in spite of everything, waiting for them to take their part in the Kingdom of God. That is why in Psalm 2:10-12 what we are going to read says the following:
LET'S READ PSALMS 2:10-12.
So now, kings, be discerning; accept correction,* judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. 12 Honor * the son; otherwise God * will be indignant and you will die on the way, because his fury burns quickly. Happy are all those who take refuge in him!
We have a very loving God! We say this because although these governments put themselves in front of him or indirectly. Despite this, he still calls their attention to accept correction and serve Jehovah. Certainly this invitation also extends to people who are part of their countries. For this reason, it is time to continue taking part in the Kingdom of God and help others to do so as well.
Remember that at the beginning we said "In good times and in bad." Well, it may happen that in good times where we do not have any pressure or opposition, we can remain loyal with our determination to serve Jehovah taking advantage of this good time. And in bad times when persecutions or impediments arise that do not allow us to serve Jehovah fully, it is there that we will demonstrate loyalty and determination to continue serving Jehovah despite unfavorable circumstances.
If we see in our activity guide there are different scenes, here at least six are described, but we are missing one more, in these six it is mentioned when electing new rulers. What are we going to do? or we will mentally support the proposals of one person or another by leaning in or thinking that perhaps that person is going to help. Sometimes we even think about spiritual matters such as allowing meetings, laws that allow us to preach, etc.
There is also the case of supporting wars frontally, or young people in schools who receive a lot of pressure when singing the national anthem, or participating in national holidays, or the two cases that are mentioned, one of supporting movements within countries. against another country, or strikes, protests against current governments or measures taken in each country, that is why the question contained in the activity guide is: Am I determined not to support absolutely anything that has to do with politics? Even if that means suffering deprivation?
As we said in our guide, Six aspects are described in which we must be loyal and keep them neutral. However, in the magazine that quotes from The Watchtower of April on page 29 and paragraph 11. There it is discussed in another way how each of us could be disloyal to Jehovah, and that is by shaking off materialism.
And in the experiences cited in said Watchtower, it indicates Brothers who stopped serving Jehovah and who did not want to live in discomfort because they were accustomed to having a normal life.
Well, the final question would be: Should we be loyal and neutral in good times or bad? The answer is, true servants of Jehovah who support and stand for the Kingdom of God will do so in both good and bad situations. In conclusion we want to demonstrate to Jehovah that we are loyal and neutral forever.
