APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: December 4-10, 2023, Speech, Lesson 20, Assignment Prepared.

Speech (5 mins.): w21.05 18, 19 paras. 17-20. Title: Stay positive, and Jehovah will continue to use you (th lec. 20).

We all strive to be positive in the Ministry. In some places this is easy, since there are many people who want to study the Bible. In fact, there are so many that the brothers have to make waiting lists but, in other parts of the world, publishers do not have it so easy, since they find few people in their homes, and those they do find may be busy or not willing to serve us.

If we live in a place where preaching is difficult, we may find it difficult to maintain a positive attitude. However, let's think about the following: Jesus maintained a positive attitude and continued preaching even though some people did not want to listen to him. Why did he do it? Because he knew that people needed to know the truth and he wanted to help as many people as possible.

He also knew that some people who at first had not wanted to hear the Kingdom message would eventually accept it. That was the case with his own family. During the three and a half years that Jesus was preaching, none of his brothers became his disciples. But after his resurrection, they became Christians.

Today, we imitate Jesus by preaching the good news of the Kingdom, not knowing who will end up accepting the biblical truths we teach. Please read in 1 Peter 2:12 a case that can be presented and that can encourage us to continue preaching, there it says...

LET'S READ 1 PETER 2:12.

Maintain exemplary conduct among the nations so that when they accuse you of wrongdoing, they will be eyewitnesses of your good deeds and, as a result, give glory to God on the day He makes His inspection.

As we saw in the text, those who do not want to listen can focus on our good behavior and positive attitude, and over time they may “give glory to God.”

Now let's look at an important point that the Bible leaves us in 1 Corinthians 3:6,7, which I invite you to read. There he says…….

LET'S READ 1 CORINTHIANS 3:6,7.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God continued to make it grow, 7 so neither the one who plants nor the one who waters are anything, but God, who makes it grow.

Regarding this point, we have the experience of a brother from Ethiopia named Getahun, who says: “For more than 20 years, I was the only witness in a territory where preaching is rarely done. But now there are 14 publishers. 13 have already been baptized, including my wife and our three children. An average of 32 people attend the meetings. As we saw in his experience, Getahun is glad because he did not get tired of preaching with a positive attitude, but rather he waited patiently for Jehovah to bring sincere people to his organization.

On the other hand, for Jehovah, the lives of all people are valuable and he gives us the honor of collaborating with his son to gather people from all nations into his people before the end of this system comes. When we preach, we are like members of a rescue team sent to free a group of people who have become trapped in a mine.

Although only some rescuers find people alive, everyone's work is important. The same thing happens in preaching: We do not know how many people can still be rescued from Satan's world, but Jehovah can use any of us to help them. So let us strive to remain positive in the Ministry. If we do so, Jehovah will bless us and the preaching will bring us great joy.
