TREASURES OF THE BIBLE, Week of May 8 to 14, 2023, "Have faith in Jehovah your God", Prepared Speech.

TREASURES OF THE BIBLE, 8-14-May-2023, ““Have faith in Jehovah your God” (10 min.), Prepared Speech.

“Have Faith in Jehovah Your God” (10 min.)

Today, we are often faced with challenges that seem overwhelming. At such times, we can learn from the experience of God's people in the days of King Jehoshaphat. Despite being attacked by an army, instead of trying to fight on their own, God's people decided to trust in Jehovah and stood united in obedience to his guidance.

The Bible tells us how God protected his people from their enemies. What can we learn from this example and how can we apply that lesson in our lives? Let's see the Biblical story…..When the enemies were attacked, Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah prayed for help. Notice what it says: 2 Chronicles 20:12,13.

WE ARE GOING TO READ 2 CHRONICLES 20:12,13.

Oh, our God, won't you punish them? Because we can't against this great crowd that comes to attack us, and we don't know what to do, but our eyes look towards you”. 13 Meanwhile, all of Judah were standing before the Lord, along with their wives and his children, even the little ones.

According to the text read, we can see that the people of Judah demonstrated humility by trusting in the Lord when they were going through a situation in which it escaped from his hands as mentioned in verse 13, all Judah stood before the Lord along with their wives and their children. and even the little ones.

After seeing these heartfelt prayers, we are going to see what Jehovah's reassuring response was and also about the instructions on what they had to do. For this we are going to see the Biblical record 2 of Chronicles 20:17.

WE ARE GOING TO READ 2 CHRONICLES 20:17.

You will not have to fight this battle. Take your places, stand still, and watch Jehovah save you. People of Judah and Jerusalem, do not be afraid or terrified. Tomorrow they go out and face each other, for Jehovah will be with you.

Consider this expression, “Be still and watch Jehovah save him.” Although it may seem like a strange strategy for battle, Jehoshaphat trusts God and obeys his instructions. Instead of sending his best soldiers, he puts unarmed men singing along in the front line. And as Jehovah had promised Jehoshaphat, he was in charge of defeating the enemy army. To see this exciting story, please direct your attention to the Biblical record of 2 chronicles 20:21, 22. If you found it, accompany me with the reading please, says so:

WE ARE GOING TO READ 2 CHRONICLES 20:21,22

After consulting with the people, he selected men to sing to Jehovah and praise him in holy adornment by going before the armed men and saying: “Give thanks to Jehovah, for his loyal love endures forever.” 22 When they began to sing praises with joy, Jehovah ambushed the men of Ammon, Moab, and the hill country of Seir who were invading Judah, and they killed one another.

Just as Jehovah had promised Jehoshaphat, he defeated the enemy army. Today we are at the threshold of God's New World, but before that happens: During the great tribulation, Gog will attack Jehovah's people. When this happens, we will have nothing to fear if we have faith in Jehovah and in those he uses to lead us. Let us always remember what Jehosaphat said to the people 2 Corinthians 20:20 that we invite you to read he says like this:

WE ARE GOING TO READ 2 CORINTHIANS 20:20.

The next morning, they got up early and headed out into the Tecoa desert. As they were leaving, Jehoshaphat stood up and said: “Hear me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Have faith in Jehovah his God so that you can stand firm.* Have faith in his prophets, and it will be well with you.”

In the photograph of our activity guide corresponding to this week, what stands out in it is that despite the situation in which the brothers find themselves, their reaction is: Firm, calm, without a hint of concern. But this is only possible if you have faith and trust in Jehovah.

Let us be careful, dear brothers, not to trust in our own strength. Rather, let us pray privately to Jehovah and ask him for help. While this happens, we can prepare ourselves now, let's seek Jehovah's guidance by studying his word and the publications that his organization gives us, and not only that. The most important thing is to apply the wise advice.

Some people may not agree with us making decisions based on the Bible and may even tell us what to do, that is nonsense. Perhaps they say that perhaps the best protection is money and material things. But let us remember The example of Jehosaphat that I trust in Jehovah and he demonstrated it with actions.

Jehovah did not abandon this Loyal man and he will not abandon us either, therefore, to strengthen our faith, we must study the prophecies of the Bible and see how they are fulfilled now, Let's meditate on how to participate in the fulfillment of some prophecies of the Bible Bible, such as the one that Jesus said that the good news would be preached throughout the earth before the end came

The more convinced we are that Bible prophecies are being fulfilled, the more determined we will be to do our best in Jehovah's service. If we do, we will receive many blessings. And that way we will see how Jehovah cares for us, this will increase our trust in him and we will be truly happy.
