APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, May 8-14, 2023, Bible Course, Lesson 14 Prepared Assignment.

Bible course (5 min.): lff lesson 09 summary, review and “Resolve this” (th lec. 14).

Publisher: Very good Israel. We have come to the end of another interesting and very instructive lesson in the study of the Bible. Did you know all this about prayer?

Student: Well, the truth is that no, I have learned a lot and above all to value prayer very much... we have even seen what the word "amen" means when before I had not even understood the meaning of that word...

Publisher: As you can see, everything in God's work has a purpose, even the way we conclude our communication with God... because what is prayer?

Student: It is that gift that God has given us to get closer to Him, to know Him, to be His friends and to throw our burdens, worries and also joys on Him...

Publisher: As with a good friend, because Jehovah wants us to be his friends, and for this reason it is essential to study his Word, the Bible and talk to God, these are the only ways we have to know him while we relate to his People. Therefore, the first question that is posed to us in the review, we have almost answered it, to whom should we pray?

Student: Well, God obviously.

Publisher: Only Jehovah, the true God as Jesus taught us and we can ask him for anything according to his will and He will listen to us as we saw in 1 John 5:14 and as we go deeper, when and what can we pray?

Student: Whenever we can, we can even take a moment away or take the time we need to tell him about anything that worries us, or also joys and good things that happen to us, because he is always with us, and just as we talk to a friend, we can talk to God and thank him for everything we have.

Publisher: Great, very good answer, it has been a very productive lesson. Notice before the review questions that we are told that the sentences have to be, how?

Student: Honestly.

Publisher: Exactly, they must come from the heart as we have well seen, but both when something worries us and when things are going well for us.

Student: Sure, because that's how we get closer to God.

Publisher: When we have a problem, obviously, we open our hearts. But when we achieve something, how do we turn to God? We say something similar to: "Jehovah, I have achieved it with my hard work for a long time" or perhaps, that achievement, we can transfer it to God, thanking him for allowing us to fulfill our dreams or giving us the strength to fight for what we want. we want.

Student: Wow, it's a very interesting point of view... and you're absolutely right Alberto, not all words are valid to tell anything...

Publisher: You notice the difference right? It is very clear when a prayer really comes from the heart...

Student: And this responds to the second review question, that is the correct way in which we have to pray, and I am going to do my best to achieve it... because it is true that many times I can speak in a way that can be noticed certain ego...

Publisher: That is normal to feel, because in the end we feel proud of what we have achieved as a result of our work, but when we reflect more deeply, we have achieved all of this because Jehovah has made it possible, and that is why we always have to give thanks in prayer and speak from the heart… In what ways does prayer help us?

Students: It is a gift from God, and although it may not solve our problem at times, at all times it will give us the stamina we need to be able to overcome all our problems...

Publisher: Remember that God never tests us, it is this system dominated by Satan, but Jehovah does tell us that he will not allow a test that we cannot bear and this already gives us stamina and hope and prayer is the necessary source of relief by which we can cast our burdens to God…

Student: Totally agree Alberto...

Publisher: Well, if you agree, now is the time to put into practice what we have learned this week, what can you propose?

Student: I am going to propose what we have talked about, tell God not only worries and problems, but also good things and I will do it in a way that thanks him for everything he provides us, not from a selfish point of view...

Publisher: It is a very good point to work on... and also remember that, as it says here, we can also pray for other people, so that they can find God or so that God will help them as well. Any other goal?

Students: Yes, what we saw in point 7, I am going to pray more frequently during the day, to set aside time during the day and get closer to God not only at mealtime or when I go to sleep, but also in the morning. work and at other times that I can take...

Publisher: It seems perfect to me, what if we do an exercise, and in next week's lesson, before starting, tell me how many times you have succeeded and have been able to set aside time to pray to Jehovah, it will surely be very rewarding.
