APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, July 13-19, 2026, Make Disciples. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love. Lesson 11, Section 3). Prepared Assignment.
Make Disciples (5 mins.) lff lesson 19 summary, review and “Set this goal” (lmd lesson 11 point 3).
Setting: The publisher and the student conclude their discussion of lesson 19 in the brochure Enjoy Life Forever. As they review the "Summary" box and the lesson questions, the student raises a question that arose after a conversation with a neighbor. The publisher helps the student reason from the Bible and, at the end, encourages the student to look for examples of Christian love at the next meeting, which they agreed to attend together.
Publisher: Good afternoon, [name]. Today we finished analyzing lesson 19. Before concluding, to summarize the ideas we saw about whether Jehovah's Witnesses are true Christians, would you like to read the "Summary" box?
Assistant: Of course. It says: "Jehovah's Witnesses are true Christians. They base their beliefs on the Bible, preach Bible truths, and love one another."
Publisher: Thank you very much. That summary mentions three characteristics that identify true Christians. Now let's review each one with the questions from the lesson. Could you read the first one?
Assistant: Yes. It says: "On what do Jehovah's Witnesses base their beliefs?"
Publisher: Very good. Based on what we studied, what would you answer?
Assistant: I remember they always use the Bible to teach. But I'd like to ask you a question. A few days ago, a neighbor told me that Jehovah's Witnesses actually follow the teachings of their organization and not just the Bible. That really got me thinking.
Publisher: Thank you for sharing your thoughts, [name]. I'm glad you felt comfortable expressing your doubts. Let's see what we learned in the lesson. When Jesus taught, what did he base his answers on?
Assistant: He always said, "It is written." That is, he used Scripture to teach.
Publisher: Exactly. And we also read in 2 Timothy 3:16 that "all Scripture is inspired by God." So, what role do publications like this booklet play?
Assistant: Now I understand it better. The booklet doesn't replace the Bible; it simply helps in understanding it. The authority remains the Word of God.
Publisher: Very well. That's the main idea. We try to follow Jesus' example and base our beliefs on the Bible. Let's move on to the second question. Could you read it?
Assistant: It says: “What do Jehovah’s Witnesses talk to people about?”
Publisher: What would you answer?
Assistant: They speak of the Kingdom of God, explain that it is the solution to humanity's problems, teach God's name, Jehovah, and preach from house to house, just as the early Christians did.
Publisher: Excellent answer. I see you grasped that part of the lesson very well. Now let's move on to the last question: “What shows that Jehovah's Witnesses love one another?” What do you remember?
Assistant: I remember seeing how they organize aid when natural disasters occur, and that they don't just help Jehovah's Witnesses, but also other people in need. Furthermore, I was struck by the fact that everyone in the Kingdom Halls is treated with the same respect, regardless of their economic status, nationality, or race.
Publisher: That's right. Jesus said that love would be the sign that would identify his true disciples, and we strive to demonstrate that love in the congregation and also toward others.
Before we wrap up, let's take a look at the "Try This" section. Could you read this week's suggestion?
Assistant: It says: “The next time you go to the Kingdom Hall, take note of the details that show that those present there truly love one another.”
Publisher: Very well. Since we've already agreed that you'll accompany me to the meeting this Sunday, do you think that should be your goal? Observe how the brothers greet each other, how they welcome new people, and how they help one another.
Assistant: Yes, that sounds like a good idea. I'll pay close attention to those details.
Publisher: Excellent. Next week we can discuss what you observed and begin studying lesson 20. If you'd like, let's end our study with a prayer.
