Let us not be deceived, let us support the Kingdom of God (Jer. 10:23) (15 mins.) Discussion with the audience.
Play the video. Then ask:
What things could distort our view of the Kingdom of God?
Satan's systematic propaganda: direct deception
As we discussed in the video, Jeremiah 10:23 reminds us of a fundamental truth: human beings were not created to govern themselves. However, Satan constantly promotes the idea that humanity can solve its problems without God's intervention, making the need for God's Kingdom seem unnecessary.
The saturation of the media and social networks
Constant consumption of news, political debates, and human opinions can profoundly influence our way of thinking. We frequently hear different points of view on the same events, and gradually, our perception can be shaped by those opinions.
When we focus our attention solely on daily problems and conflicts from a purely human perspective, we run the risk of losing the spiritual and neutral vision that the Kingdom of God demands.
Nationalism and subtle patriotism
Another factor that can divide our loyalties is excessive nationalism. Pride in a nation, its achievements, or its patriotic symbols can become a powerful distraction. This mindset can create barriers and divisions that contrast sharply with the unity represented by God's rule.
The distraction of entertainment and materialism
The current system constantly promotes the pursuit of material success, immediate gratification, and personal goals. While these tendencies have always existed, they have a much greater influence today due to the reach of mass media and social networks.
When a person prioritizes this lifestyle, they may begin to distance themselves from spiritual realities. As a result, biblical promises may seem distant or even irrelevant.
So what can we do to avoid being deceived?
To constantly reflect on the fact that human beings cannot successfully govern themselves
Keeping in mind the biblical principle of Jeremiah 10:23 helps us avoid false expectations. If we fully understand that it is not up to human beings to direct their own course, the propaganda of this world about global peace or immediate political solutions loses its power to convince us.
Study the Word of God in depth
Spending time studying the Bible helps us distinguish between Jehovah's truths and Satan's deceptions. For example, meditating on prophecies and analyzing world events from a Bible perspective prevents us from being swayed by opinions or information trends that may be influenced by human thinking.
Maintain political neutrality and take care of our hearts
The video highlights the importance of remaining neutral in the political disputes and social debates of this world. Remembering that our citizenship belongs to the Kingdom of God helps us avoid placing our complete trust in human rulers who offer only temporary changes.
Carefully filter the content we consume
We must be balanced in our use of social media, news, and entertainment. We must not allow excessive exposure to biased information or ideas contrary to biblical principles to influence our thinking. Protecting our minds and being selective about what we consume helps prevent harmful ideas from affecting our spirituality.
