TREASURES FROM GOD'S WORD, May 4-10, 2026, Enjoying Jehovah's Blessing to the Full, Prepared Talk.
Enjoy Jehovah's blessing to the fullest (10 mins.)
We all want to be happy and feel that we have God’s approval. In fact, we often pray, “Jehovah, bless me.” But there is something important we must keep in mind: Jehovah’s blessing is not automatic. It requires that we live in harmony with his standards and principles.
In this week's reading, Isaiah 58-59, we find a very interesting contrast. It describes a people who were seemingly seeking God, yet not receiving his blessing. This raises a key question: Why was this happening? And more importantly, how can we ensure that we fully enjoy Jehovah's blessing?
To answer, let's first understand the problem they had: the trap of formalism.
According to Isaiah 58:1-5, the people performed religious acts such as fasting, but their hearts were not in tune with what Jehovah expected. Although they outwardly displayed devotion, in their daily lives they acted unjustly: oppressing others, arguing, and behaving harshly.
This teaches us a very clear lesson: it is not enough to perform spiritual activities outwardly. Jehovah is not impressed by a religious routine if our hearts and actions do not reflect his love.
So, what should we do to enjoy His blessing? Let's look at three practical keys.
Show hospitality (Is 58:7-9).
The Bible gives us a clear idea of what Jehovah expects: to share with the hungry, to help the needy, to give shelter to the homeless, and to clothe the needy.
LET'S READ ISAIAH 58:7-9
“Share your bread with the hungry, bring the poor and homeless into your home, clothe the naked, and do not turn your back on your own flesh and blood. 8 Then your light will shine like the dawn, and your healing will be swift. Your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. 9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: ‘Here I am!’ If you remove the yoke from your midst and stop pointing the finger and speaking maliciously.”
These verses show us that true worship includes how we treat others.
Today, showing hospitality doesn't necessarily mean spending a lot of money. Rather, it means being generous, attentive to the needs of others, and willing to help. It can be something as simple as inviting someone over, sharing a meal, or offering emotional support.
When we act in this way, Jehovah promises something very beautiful: “Then you will call and Jehovah will answer.” That is, our relationship with him is strengthened.
Hospitality, therefore, not only benefits others, but also opens the door to Jehovah's blessing in our own lives.
Give priority to spiritual matters (Is 58:13, 14; w06 6/15 21 par. 9).
The Bible mentions the importance of not seeking our own interests on the holy day. Although we don't observe a literal Sabbath today, the principle remains very clear: we must prioritize the spiritual.
LET'S READ ISAIAH 58:13, 14
“If you, out of respect for the Sabbath, refrain from seeking your own interests on my holy day and refer to the Sabbath as a great pleasure, a holy day of the Lord, a day worthy of honor, and honor it instead of seeking your own interests and saying empty things, 14 then the Lord will be your greatest pleasure, and I will make you ride on the high places of the earth. I will make you eat the heritage of your ancestor Jacob, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
We live in a world where work, money, and entertainment can easily take first place. But we must honestly ask ourselves: Am I putting my relationship with Jehovah first? Do I view the meetings and the preaching work as a delight or as a burden?
Jesus said at Matthew 6:33 that if we seek first the Kingdom, Jehovah will take care of our needs. This involves making wise decisions. For example, when choosing a job or organizing our time, we should make sure that spiritual matters do not take a back seat.
When we give priority to Jehovah, he promises to become our greatest source of joy and satisfaction.
Trust that Jehovah will take care of you (Is 59:1; w13 1/15 13 pars. 5, 6).
Sometimes, when we face financial, health, or family problems, we may feel that Jehovah is not acting. But the Bible makes it clear that the problem is never a lack of God's power.
LET'S READ ISAIAH 59:1
“Look! The arm of the Lord is not too short to save, and his ear is not too dull to hear.”
This verse gives us great peace of mind: “The arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.”
In many cases, the obstacles may be a lack of faith or decisions that distance us from him. However, when we trust fully in Jehovah, we can be sure that he knows exactly what we need and will act at the right time.
Trusting in Jehovah means depending on him, even when we don't immediately see the solution. It means believing that he never abandons those who are faithful to him.

The picture in our activity guide shows a mother and her two daughters in a humble home, sitting on the floor reading the book “Let Us Learn From the Great Teacher.” They look very happy. This teaches us that the best way to fully enjoy Jehovah’s blessing is to give him priority in our lives, which brings us joy and satisfaction.
Conclusion
So how can we fully enjoy Jehovah's blessing?
It is not enough to simply follow a spiritual routine. We need to make real changes in our lives: show hospitality and love for others, give priority to spiritual matters, and trust completely that Jehovah will care for us.
Let us not repeat the mistake of the people in Isaiah’s time, who feigned devotion but did not act rightly. Rather, let us ask ourselves each day: Does my way of life attract Jehovah’s blessing or drive it away?
If we are generous, spiritual people who trust in God, we will see his promise fulfilled: our light will shine like the dawn and we will enjoy a peace and security that only Jehovah can give.
