Let's look for hidden gems (10 mins.)
Isaiah 46:10. Did Jehovah know “from the beginning” that Adam and Eve would sin? (w11 1/1 14 pars. 2, 3).
Isaiah 46:10 shows that Jehovah has the ability to know the end from the beginning, but that does not mean he always uses that ability. In the case of Adam and Eve, it appears that Jehovah chose not to know it beforehand and gave them the opportunity to choose whether to obey or not. This shows that Jehovah trusts his creatures and gives us freedom to choose.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
This topic helps us to better understand Jehovah’s wisdom. He can know the future, but he decides when to reveal it. In the case of Adam and Eve, he allowed them to act freely. This shows that Jehovah does not create anyone destined to fail, but rather gives us the opportunity to do what is right.
It also teaches me something about Jehovah's way of working. He doesn't control every decision we make, but gives us free will. That motivates us to want to obey him out of love, not because we are forced to.
What spiritual gems have you found in this week's Bible reading?
Isaiah 45:5. This verse reminds me that Jehovah is the only true God. Today, many people put their trust in money, governments, or modern idols. But this text helps us remember that only Jehovah is in control of everything. Therefore, the wisest thing we can do is trust in him and seek his guidance in our lives.
Isaiah 45:18. Here we learn that Jehovah created the earth for a purpose: to be inhabited. This shows us that Jehovah's intention has always been for humans to live here and enjoy life. This strengthens our hope for the future, when the earth will be a paradise just as Jehovah intended from the beginning.
Isaiah 45:22. This verse shows how loving Jehovah is, because he invites people from all over to turn to him for salvation. This reminds me that preaching is very important, because in this way we help more people to come to know Jehovah and draw close to him.
Isaiah 46:4. This text is very encouraging because Jehovah promises to care for his servants throughout their lives, even when we are old. This reminds me that Jehovah never abandons those who love him and is always looking out for us.
Isaiah 46:9, 10. These verses show that Jehovah can announce what will happen in the future and then make it happen. This demonstrates that he is in control of everything. Thinking about this strengthens our faith, because we know that all of Jehovah’s promises will come true.
Isaiah 47:10. Here we see that Babylon trusted too much in its own wisdom and thought that no one saw what it was doing. This teaches us that we should never feel too confident or think that we can do wrong without Jehovah noticing, because he sees everything.
Isaiah 47:11. This verse shows that when someone acts with pride and turns away from Jehovah, sooner or later they will face the consequences. That is why it is important to remain humble and continue to trust in Jehovah's guidance.
