TREASURES OF THE BIBLE, Week from June 26 to July 2, 2023, "Let Jehovah use it for what he needs", Prepared Speech.

TREASURES OF THE BIBLE, 26-June-2-July-2023, "Let Jehovah use it for what he needs", Prepared Speech.

“Let Jehovah use you for what he needs” (10 min.).

Let me begin this talk by sharing an inspiring illustration that shows how Jehovah can use one of his servants in a situation of great need.

Imagine that you are in a hospital visiting a brother and his wife who are going through an extremely difficult time. The wife is severely injured and both are overwhelmed with grief and anguish, in the midst of which is a Jehovah's Witness who is also in the hospital.

This witness with love and compassion reaches out to them and offers his support. he pulls out his precious Bible and begins to share words of comfort, hope, and strength based on Biblical teachings. His knowledge and his faith in Jehovah's promises are a balm to this couple's wounded heart.

As the Witness reads and explains the scriptures to them, there is a sense of peace and trust in Jehovah in the room. Although they are undergoing a painful trial, they find comfort and strength in the word of God.

This beautiful example shows how Jehovah can use his servants to be an instrument of comfort and support in times of difficulty. It is a reminder that we can all be used by Jehovah to help our brothers and sisters when they need it most.

But how can we allow Jehovah to use us to fulfill his purpose? The Biblical story of Ezra provides us with valuable lessons in this regard. In the book of Ezra, we find that Jehovah motivated King Cyrus of Persia to free the Israelites and allow them to return to his homeland to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. This is mentioned in Ezra :1:1-3 which I invite you to read. Let's look please in our Bibles, Ezra chapter 1 and we are going to read verses one through three look what it mentions.

LET'S READ EZRA 1:1-3.

In the first year of King Cyroa of Persia, Jehovah moved* King Cyrus of Persia to issue a decree throughout his kingdom to fulfill the words of Jehovah spoken by Jeremiah.b The decree—which he also put in writing—read:

2 “This is what King Cyrus of Persia says: 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and has charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. 3 Those of you who are part of his people, may your God be with you and go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of Jehovah, the God of Israel. He is the true God, whose house was in Jerusalem.

This passage clearly shows us that Jehovah has the power to touch the hearts and spirits of people, even powerful leaders, to his will. In the case of Cyrus, Jehovah brought out the pagan king to carry out his purpose of freeing the people from him.

Jehovah not only motivated King Cyrus, but also motivated his people to rebuild the temple. Let's see how he did it. Let's read, please, here chapter 1 and we are going to read verse 5.

LET'S READ EZRA 1:5.

Then the heads of the fathers' houses in Judah and Benjamin, the priests and the Levites—all those whom the true God had moved—* prepared to go up and rebuild the house of Jehovah, which was in Jerusalem.

Here we see how Jehovah motivated his people, awakening their spirit, discovering in them a fervent desire to fulfill his will. The leaders and the people responded to this call, pledging to rebuild the temple and restore true worship in Jerusalem.

This shows us that Jehovah can awaken the spirit of people and motivate them to fulfill his purpose. In the example of the witness in the hospital, we see how Jehovah used him to comfort and strengthen our brothers in a time of great need.

Dear brothers and sisters, Jehovah also wants to use each one of us for his glory and for the benefit of our brothers. We can allow Jehovah to use us by developing a strong and consistent study of the Bible, by meditating on his teachings AND by applying them in our daily lives.

Let Jehovah use us by being available to our families and fellow believers, offering support and comfort in times of difficulty. We can be instruments of his love and mercy by showing compassion, kindness, and generosity toward others.

Let us always remember that Jehovah knows us better than anyone and has created us with a unique purpose. He has given us gifts, abilities, and experiences that we can use in his service. No matter what our situation, position, or ability, Jehovah can use each one of us for his Glory.

So, brothers and sisters, are we willing to let ourselves be used by Jehovah for what he needs? Are we available to be instruments in his hands, to be symbolically his loving hands that comfort this world?

When we allow Jehovah to use us, we become a reflection of his love and kindness toward others. We become channels through which Jehovah can fulfill his purpose and bring Hope to those who suffer.

What can we say about the beautiful example of the witness in the hospital, who through the word of God was able to comfort and strengthen that couple in times of great need. If we allow ourselves to be used by Jehovah, we can make a difference in people's lives and bring Glory to his Name.

In conclusion, dear brothers and sisters, let us let Jehovah use us for what he needs. Let us follow Ezra's example and respond to Jehovah's call with willingness and obedience. Through our study of the Bible, our love for our brothers and our active participation in the preaching of the Kingdom, we will allow Jehovah to use us and fulfill his purpose through our lives.
