APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, July 20-26, 2026, Start conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 4, point 3). Assignment Prepared.

Start conversations (4 mins.) HOUSE TO HOUSE. Offer the person a Bible course and show them what our classes are like (lmd lesson 4 point 3).

Setting: During a house-to-house ministry, the publisher speaks with a housewife who mentions that she has her own religion. Respectfully, he explains that his purpose is not to convert her, but to show her that the Bible contains counsel that can help her find peace and make good decisions. He then offers her a Bible course and shows her how the classes are structured, noting that they are free, flexible, and can be scheduled to suit each person's needs.

Publisher: Good afternoon. My name is [name]. I'm briefly visiting the neighbors to share a very positive idea for the families in the community. What is your name?

Assistant: I am [name]. But, I'm telling you now that I already have my religion. I'm very devout and I don't plan to change, so I wouldn't want to waste your time.

Publisher: Thank you so much for telling me this so sincerely, Mrs. [name]. It's so gratifying to find people these days who value their faith and beliefs. I want to assure you that my intention is not to convince you to change your religion.

Assistant: Ah, I thought that's what I came for.

Publisher: No. We deeply respect everyone's beliefs. Rather, we're visiting our neighbors because everyone, regardless of religion, faces worries, family problems, or stressful times. And the Bible contains guidance that can help us find peace and make good choices.

May I show you a verse? It will only take a few seconds.

Assistant: Well, if it's from the Bible, go ahead.

Publisher: Thank you very much. Look, here in Isaiah 48:17. Would you like to read it yourself?

Assistant: Of course. “This is what Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, says: ‘I, Jehovah, am your God, the one who teaches you for your own good, the one who guides you in the way you should walk.’”

Publisher: Thank you. According to this verse, what does it say God teaches us for?

Assistant: Well... he says it's for our own good.

Publisher: Exactly. That shows that God's advice is never meant to complicate our lives, but to help us. That's why our visit isn't about debating religions, but about showing how the Bible can be a practical guide for daily life.

Assistant: That does seem interesting to me.

Publisher: I'm glad to hear that. In fact, many people who already have a religion study the Bible with us because they want to understand it better.

Assistant: And what are those classes like? Because, honestly, I don't have time to go to meetings or study centers.

Publisher: I completely understand. We all lead very busy lives. That's precisely why the course is so flexible. You don't have to travel anywhere.

We can study wherever you prefer: here at your home, at your doorstep, or even via video call if that's more convenient for you. Plus, you decide the duration. It could be a five- or ten-minute conversation once a week.

Assistant: Ah, I thought they were long classes.

Publisher: No, not at all. The idea is for it to be enjoyable and easy to follow. May I show you what a lesson looks like?

Assistant: Sure.

Publisher: Look, this course is called Enjoy Life Forever. Each lesson begins with an interesting question. For example: "How can the Bible help you in your daily life?" Then it presents a Bible verse, a simple explanation, and an illustration or a short video that helps you better understand the topic.

During the class, we read the information together, look up the Bible verses, and discuss their meanings. The best part is that you can ask all the questions you want and freely express your opinion.

Assistant: It looks very different from what I imagined.

Publisher: Many people tell us the same thing. It's not a lecture or a class where someone just talks. It's more of a Bible-based conversation. Plus, there are no exams, it's free, and you decide how long you want to continue. There's never any obligation.

Assistant: That gives me more confidence.

Publisher: I'm glad to hear that. If you'd like, I'd like to leave you this brochure so you can look at it at your leisure when you have a moment.

And, if you agree, we could come back next week at this same time. We would only spend about five minutes analyzing the first question of the course together, and then you can decide if you want to continue. What do you think?

Assistant: That sounds good. Come back next week and we can discuss it more calmly.

Publisher: Excellent, Ms. [name]. Thank you so much for your time and for listening. I'll see you next week. Have a wonderful afternoon.

Assistant: Thank you very much. Likewise. Goodbye.
