LIVING AS CHRISTIANS, June 15-21, 2026, How can we show that we respect the Kingdom Hall? Analysis and Answers.

How can we show that we respect the Kingdom Hall? (5 mins.) Discussion with the audience.

Play the video Become Jehovah's Friend: You Must Love Jehovah's House. Then ask:

What should we do to care for the Kingdom Hall, and why?

To care for the Kingdom Hall, we should voluntarily participate in cleaning it, looking after the furniture and facilities, and cheerfully cooperate in maintenance tasks. This includes picking up trash, dusting, cleaning the chairs, caring for the audio and sound equipment, and keeping all areas of the hall tidy.

We do this because the Kingdom Hall is a place dedicated to the worship of Jehovah and the study of his Word. Furthermore, by keeping it clean and in good condition, we demonstrate our love and respect for Jehovah’s house. We also reflect God’s qualities, such as order and cleanliness, and we help ensure that the facilities can be used for many years to come.

Read 1 Timothy 2:9, 10. Then ask:

In what other ways can we all show respect for Jehovah when we attend our meetings?

We can show respect for Jehovah through our clothing, personal appearance, and conduct. This involves dressing in a clean, dignified, appropriate, modest, and sensible manner, avoiding anything that draws excessive attention to ourselves.

Furthermore, we should adorn ourselves with good works. This involves showing respect by maintaining appropriate conduct during meetings: being attentive, respectful, and kind, participating when appropriate, and remaining silent when necessary. In this way, we reflect devotion to Jehovah and contribute to an atmosphere suitable for worship and learning God’s Word.

How We Use Donations: We Keep Our Kingdom Halls in Good Condition (10 mins.) Discussion with the audience based on the article. Review the expenses that must be covered to maintain the Kingdom Hall (hdu article 30).

What expenses do we need to cover to keep our Kingdom Halls in good condition?

To keep Kingdom Halls in good condition, it is necessary to cover the costs of essential utilities, such as electricity, drinking water, and the internet.

Cleaning and hygiene supplies should also be purchased, such as disinfectants, detergents, brooms, mops and garbage bags, as well as bathroom products such as toilet paper and paper towels.

In addition, preventive maintenance must be carried out and minor repairs must be addressed, including materials such as paint, light bulbs, fuses and tools, as well as the repair of any damage that may occur to the furniture.

Why is it important to take care of our salons?

The main reasons why it is important to take care of our Kingdom Halls are the following:

Honor and Jehovah: Since these buildings are dedicated to God, by keeping them clean, orderly, dignified, and in good condition, we honor Jehovah. Furthermore, it is a direct way to praise him and show him reverence.

Good testimony: A well-maintained Kingdom Hall makes an excellent impression on the community and on people who visit us for the first time, positively reflecting the image of our God and dignifying the message we preach.

Safety and comfort: A well-maintained and constantly cared-for room provides a safe, comfortable and suitable environment for all attendees, including children, adults and seniors, avoiding distractions during meetings.

Sometimes there are large maintenance projects. What strikes you about how they are financed and organized?

What is striking is that these projects are financed exclusively through voluntary and anonymous donations, without resorting to bank loans or charging fees to congregations. Furthermore, the biblical principle of equality mentioned at 2 Corinthians 8:14, 15 is applied, so that resources from wealthier areas help to meet the needs of congregations with fewer resources.

It is also worth noting that much of the labor is done by volunteers, including full-time construction workers and members of nearby congregations. The Local Design and Construction Department (LDC) organizes and oversees the projects, training volunteers to ensure high standards of quality and safety.

What can you do to help?

I can help by volunteering to help maintain the Kingdom Hall I attend and by participating in any necessary tasks. I can also support by making voluntary donations, either at the Kingdom Hall's donation boxes or through donate.jw.org. In this way, I contribute to both the maintenance and construction of Kingdom Halls for the worship of our God, Jehovah.
