Let us examine the Scriptures every day 2026

First, the good news must be preached to all nations (Mark 13:10).
Think about how you felt when you were studying the Bible. Among other things, you learned that Jehovah loves you, that he wants you to be part of his family of worshippers, that he has promised to end pain and suffering, and that in the new world he will resurrect your loved ones who have died (Mark 10:29, 30; John 5:28, 29; Rom. 8:38, 39; Rev. 21:3, 4). All of these truths touched your heart (Luke 24:32). You came to love the valuable teachings you were learning and were eager to share them with everyone (compare Jeremiah 20:9).
If our hearts overflow with love for the Bible’s teachings, our mouths will want to speak about them (Luke 6:45). We feel like the first-century disciples who said: “We cannot stop speaking about the things we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20). We have come to love the truth so much that we want to share it with as many people as possible. w24.05 15 par. 5; 16 par. 7
What does Ernest and Rose's experience teach you?
Let’s consider the case of a brother named Ernest. He relates that when he was 10 years old, his father died. He adds: “I wondered, ‘Has he gone to heaven, or is he gone forever?’ I envied the children who still had their parents alive.” He went to the cemetery almost daily, knelt at his father’s grave, and prayed: “Please, God, I need to know where Dad is.” When he was about 27 years old, he was offered the opportunity to study the Bible, and he immediately accepted. He was thrilled to discover that the dead are unconscious, as if in a deep sleep, and that the Bible promises a resurrection (Eccl. 9:5, 10; Acts 24:15). At last, he had found the answer to the questions that had plagued him for so long! He was overjoyed by the Bible truths he was learning. His wife, Rose, began studying along with him and was also delighted with what she was learning. Later, in 1978, they both got baptized. Full of enthusiasm, they shared their beliefs with their relatives, friends, and anyone else who would listen. Over the years, Ernest and Rose have helped more than 70 people come to know Jehovah and get baptized.
What motivates us to bring good news to people?
Like Jehovah and Jesus, we love people (Prov. 8:31; John 3:16). We feel compassion for those who are hopeless and “without God” (Eph. 2:12). They are, so to speak, drowning in life’s problems, and we have the lifeline they need: the good news of God’s Kingdom. Love and compassion move us to do all we can to help them hear the message. It is a treasure that can fill them with hope, help them find happiness even now, and give them the opportunity to have “the life that really is life,” eternal life in the new world (1 Tim. 6:19).
What do we warn people about, and why? (Ezekiel 33:7, 8).
Love also compels us to warn people that the end of this wicked world is near (read Ezekiel 33:7, 8). It saddens us to see that people in our territory and our non-Witness relatives go about their lives unaware of what is coming. Matthew 24:21 says that “there will be great tribulation” and that “from the beginning of the world until now, there has not been a tribulation like it, and there never will be again.” We want them to know what will happen during that period of judgment: first, all false religions will disappear, and then, at Armageddon, this entire wicked system will be destroyed (Revelation 16:14, 16; 17:16, 17; 19:11, 19, 20). We pray to Jehovah that as many people as possible will listen to us and accept to serve him along with us now. But what will happen to those who, for the moment, are not paying attention to our warnings, including our dear relatives?
