APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, June 15-21, 2026, Make Return Visits: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 9, Section 3). Assignment Prepared.
Make return visits (4 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. Use one of the truths in appendix A of the brochure A Work of Love (lmd lesson 9 point 3).
Setting: During the house-to-house witnessing, the publisher speaks with a neighbor. When discussing the problems affecting families today, the neighbor expresses her concern about insecurity and economic hardship. The publisher listens empathetically, acknowledges her feelings, and shows her, using a Bible text, that God’s Kingdom is a real government that will bring lasting solutions to mankind’s problems.
Publisher: Hello, good morning.
Assistant: Good morning. How can I help you?
Publisher: We're visiting our neighbors to talk briefly about a well-known phrase from the Lord's Prayer, one that most of us know. It says, "Thy Kingdom come." Many people have heard those words all their lives, but few really know what that Kingdom means. Have you ever wondered?
Assistant: Honestly, not much. Although I would like to know if that Kingdom can solve the problems we face today.
Publisher: That's precisely what I wanted to ask you. When you watch the news or think about your daily life, what problem would you like to see disappear?
Assistant: Without a doubt, the problem is insecurity. You can't even walk down the street without feeling unsafe anymore. Besides, everything is so expensive that money barely stretches. Just recently, my son was even mugged on his way home from school.
Publisher: How unfortunate. It must have been a very distressing experience for you as a family.
Assistant: Yes, it was very difficult. Since then, we've lived with more worry.
Publisher: It's understandable that you feel this way. Many families are going through similar situations. And yet, you continue to strive every day to provide for your family. That shows great strength and love for them.
Assistant: Thank you. Sometimes you feel like nobody really cares about what we're going through.
Publisher: I understand why he says that. However, the Bible teaches that God does care deeply about people and the problems they face.
Assistant: And what does that have to do with the Kingdom that the Lord's Prayer speaks of?
Publisher: A lot. In fact, the Bible explains that the Kingdom of God is a real government that will bring permanent solutions. Look at what Daniel 2:44 says. Would you like to read it?
Assistant: Of course. "In the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or left to any other people. This kingdom will crush all those kingdoms and put an end to them, and it alone will endure forever."
So, is that Kingdom a government established by God?
Publisher: Exactly. It's not just an idea or a feeling. It's a government that God has established under the leadership of Jesus Christ.
Assistant: Interesting. I'd never thought of it that way.
Publisher: Furthermore, the Bible promises that this government will eliminate injustice, protect people, and put an end to violence. Imagine a world where your child can walk down the street without fear and where families live in true security.
Assistant: That would be wonderful. I think we all wish for something like that.
Publisher: Absolutely. And I'm glad to see you remain hopeful that things can improve. If you'd like, I could show you more details about how and when that Kingdom will act another time.
Assistant: Yes, I would like to know more.
Publisher: Perfect. My name is [name]. What's yours?
Assistant: Nice to meet you, [name]. My name is [name].
