APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, June 8-14, 2026, Start conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 1, point 3). Assignment Prepared.

Start conversations (2 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (lmd lesson 1 point 3).

Setting: The publisher speaks with a homemaker who expresses concern about the rising cost of living and the difficulty of covering household expenses. Using a Bible verse, the publisher shows her that God cares about our needs and agrees to return another time to discuss God's promise of a future without poverty.

Publisher: Good morning. We're briefly visiting our neighbors because many people are saying it's getting harder to cover household expenses. Everything is getting more expensive, and it seems like money just doesn't stretch as far as it used to. Have you noticed this too?

Assistant: Yes, of course. Good morning. It's true. Every time I go to the market I'm shocked by the prices. As a homemaker, I try to manage money well, but it's just not enough to buy everything we used to.

Publisher: You're right. This situation worries many families, especially when they work hard and still don't seem to make enough money.

That's precisely why I'd like to share with you a very encouraging thought from the Bible. Look at what Matthew 6:26 says. Would you like to read it?

Assistant: Yes, gladly. “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

What a beautiful text. I honestly didn't remember it. It conveys a great sense of peace.

Publisher: That's right. Jesus used the example of the birds to teach us an important lesson. If God cares for them and provides them with food, don't you think He also cares for us and our needs?

Assistant: Yes, that makes sense. Although, to be honest, when you see prices rising and economic hardships increasing, it's sometimes easy to feel worried and forget that reality.

Publisher: It's understandable to feel this way. However, the Bible reminds us that we are precious to God and that He knows our needs. Knowing this can help us maintain our faith even in difficult times.

If you'd like, I'd like to come back another day to talk about a very hopeful promise from God. The question is: What will life be like when poverty no longer exists and there is abundance for everyone? Would it be alright if I came back next Tuesday to discuss it?

Assistant: Yes, of course. I find it a very interesting topic. I'd be happy to receive it.

Publisher: Excellent. Then I'll see you next Tuesday. My name is [Name]. And what's yours?

Assistant: Nice to meet you, [Name]. My name is [Name].

Publisher: Nice to meet you, [Name]. Thank you for your time. Have a great day.

Assistant: Likewise. I wish you all the best.
