APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, April 27-May 3, 2026, Start conversations: INFORMAL PREACHING. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 2, point 4). Prepared Assignment.
Start conversations (3 mins.) INFORMAL PREACHING. Tell the person something you recently learned in a meeting (lmd lesson 2 point 4).
Setting: The publisher meets an acquaintance in the park, and they discuss the weather and world problems. The publisher tells the person that he learned during a meeting that, although suffering seems endless, the time when humanity will live without fear is very near.
Publisher: Hello, [name]! How are you? It's so hot today, isn't it?
Assistant: Hi, [name]! Yes, it's unbearable. The weather isn't what it used to be. One day it's freezing cold, and the next it's scorching hot.
Publisher: It's true, everything is changing so much. And not just the weather… everything is getting more and more expensive too. You go to the market and come out with fewer things, but paying more.
Assistant: Don't even mention it. I went shopping last week and the prices shocked me. This can't go on.
Publisher: Yes, the situation is worrying. Between the weather, the prices, and so much bad news, sometimes you feel like things are going from bad to worse.
Assistant: Exactly. Sometimes I wonder how long it will be like this, because there doesn't seem to be any improvement.
Publisher: I understand. That very topic got me thinking a lot recently. At a Jehovah's Witnesses meeting I attend, something was discussed that really caught my attention.
Assistant: Oh, really? What did you talk about?
Publisher: We've analyzed that, although things seem increasingly difficult today, this actually indicates that we're close to a change. In other words, it's not that everything will endlessly worsen, but rather that these conditions have a purpose and a limit.
Assistant: Well, it sounds interesting, but the truth is, seeing how things are, it's hard to imagine it getting better.
Publisher: Of course, it's understandable to think that way. I used to see it that way myself. But what helped me was realizing that there are reasons to believe this situation won't last forever. It was explained that the difficulties we're seeing today are part of a period that was already predicted, and that positive changes for humanity will follow.
Assistant: So all of this was already announced?
Publisher: Exactly. And that's what gives us hope, because if there's a limit, it means we're not destined to live with so many problems forever. Rather, we're approaching a time when things will truly improve.
Assistant: That would be good, because honestly, one gets tired of so much worry.
Publisher: Yes, we all need that peace of mind. And something I really liked is that it wasn't just a nice idea, but something based on the Bible, with explanations that make sense. That gave me a lot of peace.
Assistant: Interesting… I had never thought of it that way.
Publisher: If you like, another day when we have a little more time, I can show you one of those points that explain why we can be sure of that change.
Assistant: That sounds good to me. I'd like to hear that more carefully.
Publisher: Perfect, [name], then we're all set. Have a good day, and hopefully it'll cool down a bit later.
Assistant: Likewise, [name]. Take care.
