Speech (5 mins.) lmd appendix A point 16. Title: We Should Pray Frequently (th lesson 8).

Have you ever tried to maintain a close friendship with someone you haven't spoken to for weeks or even months? You'd probably agree it's practically impossible. Communication is the glue that holds any relationship together.

The same is true of our friendship with Jehovah. If we want it to be real and strong, we cannot view prayer as something we use only in times of crisis. Rather, it must be an ongoing conversation with our best friend and heavenly Father.

LET'S READ MATTHEW 7:7, 8

“Keep asking and it will be given to you; keep seeking and you will find; keep knocking and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

In these verses, Jesus clearly taught us what attitude we should have when we pray. Let's look at an important detail: Jesus didn't speak of isolated actions. He didn't say, "Ask once" or "Seek once." He said, "Keep asking," "Keep seeking," "Keep knocking." This teaches us that persistence in prayer is essential.

To understand this better, let's think of a farmer. He doesn't water his crops only on the day he plants them. He knows that, in order for them to grow and bear fruit, they need water constantly. In the same way, our faith needs the continuous nourishment of prayer.

Furthermore, we should never think that Jehovah tires of listening to us. On the contrary, he values our frequent and sincere prayers to him. We do not need a special posture or a specific place to pray. We can do so anytime, anywhere.

For example, we can pray at the start of the day, before meals, when facing an important decision, or at the end of the day. We can also thank Him for the good things that happen to us or ask for His help in difficult times. All of this demonstrates that we trust in Him and recognize our need for His guidance.

Now, in a world as busy as ours, someone might think, “How can I pray constantly?” The apostle Paul gave us clear instruction in 1 Thessalonians 5:17: “Pray continually.”

This does not mean that we should be praying every minute without doing anything else. Rather, it involves maintaining frequent communication with Jehovah, as we would with a close friend. We can talk to him throughout the day, at different times and in different situations.

When we develop this habit, something beautiful happens: Jehovah ceases to be someone distant and becomes a real presence in our lives. This constant communication brings us inner peace and helps us maintain spiritual balance.

Therefore, let us not allow our daily activities to take this privilege away from us. Let us continue to approach Jehovah with confidence, knowing that he is always ready to listen to us.

If we make prayer a constant part of our lives, our relationship with Jehovah will become so strong that nothing can separate us from his love.
