God's will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:4).
One way we show our appreciation for Jehovah’s ransom and love is by making the most of the Memorial season. In addition to making plans to be present, we can invite others to attend. When we do, let us explain what this special meeting is about. We can show the videos on jw.org, Why Did Jesus Die? and Remember Jesus’ Death. The elders will make sure to invite inactive ones. Can you imagine the joy in heaven and on earth if some of Jehovah’s lost sheep are moved to return to the flock? (Luke 15:4-7) At the Memorial, we can make it our goal not only to greet one another but especially those who are new or who have not attended for a long time. Let us make everyone feel welcome! (Rom. 12:13) w25.01 29 par. 15
Why should we consider increasing our service during the Memorial season?
Can we use the Memorial season to increase our service to Jehovah? This is an excellent way to show appreciation for all that Jehovah and Jesus have done for us. The more we preach, the more we will see Jehovah’s support and the stronger our trust in him will become. (1 Cor. 3:9) Also, let us remember to do the Memorial Bible reading, which is found in the booklet Examine the Scriptures Every Day and in a chart in the Activity Guide. We could even use those Bible passages for a study project.
What makes Jehovah happy with us?
But what if your circumstances do not allow you to follow all the suggestions given in this article? Don’t worry. Remember that Jehovah does not compare what you do with what others do. He looks at your heart and is very pleased because he knows that you are deeply grateful for the precious gift of the ransom. (1 Sam. 16:7; Mark 12:41-44)
Why are we so grateful to Jehovah and Jesus?
It is only through the ransom that we can receive forgiveness for our sins, become friends of Jehovah, and have the hope of eternal life. Let us always show our gratitude for Jehovah’s love, which moved him to give us all these blessings (1 John 4:19). And let us also show our deep gratitude because Jesus loved us so much that he gave his life for us (John 15:13).
