APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, March 9-15, 2026, Start conversations: INFORMAL PREACHING. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 3, point 4). Prepared Assignment.

Start conversations (3 mins.) INFORMAL PREACHING. Invite an acquaintance to the Memorial (lmd lesson 3 point 4).

Setting: While shopping at a supermarket, the publisher runs into an acquaintance and takes the opportunity to invite them to the Memorial. He explains that it is a very important event, in which we remember Jesus' sacrifice and what it means for us. The person says they will consider attending and politely departs.

Publisher: Hello, [name], what a surprise to see you here!

Assistant: Hi, [name]. Yes, I'm doing some shopping for the week.

Publisher: Yes, me too. Hey, I'm going to take this opportunity to invite you to a very important event.

Assistant: What is it?

Publisher: It is the Commemoration of the death of Christ.

Assistant: Oh, I didn't know that was something to celebrate.

Publisher: Yes, it's an event where we remember Jesus' sacrifice and what it means for us. And we do it because Jesus himself told us to, as it says in Luke 22:19, which I'll read to you here on my device.

It reads: “Then he took a loaf of bread, gave thanks to God, broke it, gave it to them, and said, ‘This represents my body, which will be given for your benefit. Continue doing this in remembrance of me.’”

Assistant: That sounds emotional. When is it?

Publisher: It's next Thursday. I know the invitation is short notice, but I hope you can make it. It would be great to see you there.

Assistant: Thanks for the invitation. I'll consider it. Well, I have to get back to my shopping. It was nice seeing you.

Publisher: Yes, same here. See you later.
