APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, March 23-29, 2026, Make Return Visits: INFORMAL PREACHING. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 9, Section 3). Assignment Prepared.
Haga revisitas (4 mins.) PREDICACIÓN INFORMAL. La persona está pensando en asistir a la Conmemoración. Explíquele cómo será esta reunión (lmd lección 9 punto 3).
Background: During a previous visit, the publisher invited someone to the Memorial, and the person expressed interest in attending. On a subsequent visit, the person expressed some concerns about the meeting, and the publisher explained that it would be a very respectful, fairly simple meeting and that there would be no collections. The person then reiterated their interest in attending the Memorial.
Publisher: Hello, [name]. It's great to hear from you again. Last time I mentioned the Commemoration to you. Have you thought about whether you'll be able to attend?
Assistant: Yes. In fact, I was curious, but I've never really understood what that meeting is like.
Publisher: It's normal for questions to arise. It's a fairly simple meeting. First, there's a talk based on the Bible that explains why Jesus' death is so important.
Assistant: Does that speech last long?
Publisher: No, it lasts about half an hour. Afterwards, bread and wine are passed around, representing the body and blood of Jesus.
Assistant: Does everyone partake of the bread and wine?
Publisher: Actually, no. Only some Christians who hope to reign with Christ in heaven do that. But all the rest of us attend to show respect and gratitude for Jesus' sacrifice; in other words, we are observers.
Assistant: I understand. And is all of that based on the Bible?
Publisher: Yes. For example, 1 Corinthians 11:26 explains the purpose of this celebration. It says, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
Assistant: Ah, so it's a way of remembering what Jesus did.
Publisher: Exactly. It's a very respectful meeting. It lasts about an hour. Everyone is welcome, and there are no collections.
Assistant: That's good. I think I would like to go.
Publisher: That's great. If you'd like, I can pick you up that day and we can go together.
