APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, February 23-March 1, 2026, Make Return Visits: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 7, point 5). Assignment Prepared.
Make return visits (2 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (lmd lesson 7 point 5).
Setting: During house-to-house witnessing, the publisher resumes a previous conversation about how God will eliminate all suffering. The person says that this gave her much hope and made her reflect on her life. Using a Bible text, the publisher mentions God’s promise to create a new world where he will be with his people and eliminate all suffering.
Publisher: Hi, how are you? It's good to see you again.
Assistant: Hi, I'm fine.
Publisher: I've come to your house several times since we last spoke, but I hadn't found you.
Assistant: Yes, I've been a bit busy, but I'm glad you're back.
Publisher: Yes, because I wanted to continue talking to you about how God will eliminate everything that makes us suffer.
Assistant: Yes, last time you told me that very soon God was going to eliminate everything that makes us suffer, and that has given me a lot of hope. It has also made me reflect on my life.
Publisher: The Bible says that God will eliminate everything that causes us suffering and will create a new heaven and a new earth where there will be no more pain, sorrow, or death. I would like to show you what the Bible says in Revelation 21:1-4. It says:
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! The dwelling place of God is now among the people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor crying nor pain be anymore, for the old order of things has passed away.’”
This text describes God's promise to create a new world where he will be with his people and eliminate everything that makes us suffer.
Assistant: Oh, that sounds amazing. I'd love to know more about how we can prepare for that moment.
Publisher: How about I come back another time to continue talking about that?
Assistant: Yes, that sounds good to me.
