APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: February 23 - March 1, 2026, ISAIAH 38-40, Answers.

Let's look for hidden gems (10 mins.)

Isaiah 40:3. How were these words fulfilled in the first century? (ip-1 400 par. 7).

In the first century, this prophecy was fulfilled when John the Baptist began preaching in the wilderness. He was the “voice” that prepared the way for Jesus, encouraging people to repent and be ready to receive the Messiah. Since Jesus represented his Father, preparing the way for him was, in reality, preparing it for Jehovah.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

One striking aspect is that John paved the way by helping people make changes in their lives. This teaches us that we too participate in something similar today when we preach. In some way, we help people prepare their hearts to accept the message of the Kingdom.

We learn that Jehovah fulfills his prophecies exactly as he promises. Isaiah wrote those words centuries ago, and at the precise time, they came true. This strengthens our confidence that the promises yet to be fulfilled, such as the new world, will also come to pass without fail.

What spiritual gems have you found in this week's Bible reading?

Isaiah 38:1. One thing this verse teaches us is that even faithful servants can go through illness or very difficult times. Hezekiah was a good king, and yet he became seriously ill. This helps us understand that trials do not mean Jehovah is displeased with us. Rather, it is in those moments that we can draw closer to him.

Isaiah 38:2, 3. This text shows us that Hezekiah prayed with great sincerity. He did not hide what he felt. This teaches us that in prayer we can open our hearts without fear. Jehovah not only hears our words, but also understands our emotions. This gives us confidence to speak to him with complete candor.

Isaiah 38:5. Jehovah answered Hezekiah and gave him more years of life. This reminds us that Jehovah hears our prayers and is personally interested in us. Although we may not receive miracles today, we do see how he gives us strength, peace of mind, or solutions at the right time.

Isaiah 40:1. It is encouraging to see that Jehovah wants his people to be comforted. This shows that he cares about how we feel, especially when we are going through difficult times. Jehovah not only gives us instructions, but he also gives us encouragement and comfort. This motivates us to imitate him by being more attentive to our brothers and sisters and by making sure to use our words to encourage and strengthen others.

Isaiah 40:8. This text says that Jehovah's Word endures forever. In a world where everything changes and many promises go unfulfilled, this gives us great reassurance. Knowing that Jehovah always keeps his promises helps us to trust him completely. That is why it is worthwhile to base our decisions and our lives on his Word.

Isaiah 40:11. Here Jehovah is compared to a tender shepherd who cares for his sheep. This helps us to see that Jehovah understands our weaknesses and limitations. He does not expect us to be perfect, but he cares for us patiently and lovingly and gives us support when we need it most.

Isaiah 40:31. This verse encourages us because it says that those who wait on Jehovah will renew their strength. Sometimes we may feel emotionally or spiritually tired, but if we continue to trust in Jehovah and do our part, he will give us the energy we need to keep going without giving up.
