“The result of true righteousness will be peace” (excerpt) (15 mins.) Discussion with the audience.
Play the video. Then ask:
What have you learned in this video about true righteousness? (Is 32:17).
In this video I learned that true righteousness is not about pretending to be good or feeling superior, as the Pharisees did, but about living in a way that pleases Jehovah, even when the environment is bad.
Isaiah, chapter 32, verse 17, helps me understand that righteousness produces real results: it brings peace, security, and inner tranquility because one has a clear conscience before Jehovah. That is why I like the example of Noah. He was imperfect, but Jehovah saw him as “righteous” because he wholeheartedly strove to obey and “walk with the true God” in the midst of a corrupt world.
This encourages me, because it reminds me that Jehovah is not looking for perfection, but for sincere loyalty and the constant desire to do what is right, even if it is difficult.
Furthermore, this teaches me that integrity is not demonstrated only with words or a good image, but with concrete decisions when no one is watching: what entertainment I choose, what conversation I cut short, what limits I set, or who I allow to influence me.
And what is very encouraging is that the peace mentioned in Isaiah 32:17 does not depend on everything around me being right, but on knowing that I am walking in the right direction and that Jehovah approves of my efforts. That makes righteousness a protection. The world may be unstable, but one remains firm because one's foundation is not the opinion of others, but friendship with Jehovah.
