LIVING AS CHRISTIANS, December 8-14, 2025, House-to-house preaching: our hallmark. Analysis and Responses.
House-to-house preaching: our hallmark (15 mins.) Discussion with the audience.
How does house-to-house preaching help us achieve the following objectives?
To deliver the message to all the people in the territory.
House-to-house preaching is a very effective way to bring the message to everyone in the territory. By going door to door, we ensure that no one misses out on hearing the good news. Furthermore, talking with people in their own environment allows us to better understand their needs and concerns.
And most importantly, we can recognize those who show interest in learning more and follow up with them, allowing us to help them delve deeper into the truth.
Improve our teaching methods and cultivate qualities such as courage, fairness, and a spirit of sacrifice.
Improving our teaching: House-to-house preaching gives us the opportunity to practice and refine our skills in teaching the Bible to others. We learn to explain biblical truths clearly and simply, and to adapt to each person's needs and questions.
Cultivating qualities like courage: Door-to-door preaching also helps us overcome fear and develop the courage to talk to strangers about the Bible and our faith. This helps us gain confidence and security in sharing God's message.
Cultivating impartiality: By preaching to people from diverse cultures, ages, and backgrounds, we learn to be impartial and not judge anyone by their appearance or social status. We focus on bringing God's message through the Bible to everyone, without exception.
Cultivating a spirit of sacrifice: House-to-house preaching requires effort and dedication. Sometimes we must go out on rainy or hot days, or give up activities we enjoy to share God's message. These experiences help us cultivate a spirit of sacrifice and put the interests of others before our own.
Start Bible courses.
Door-to-door preaching is a very useful tool for starting Bible studies. It allows us to talk with people in a friendly setting and offer them a free Bible course. Thanks to these visits, we can identify those who show interest in learning more about the Bible and its message.
We can invite them to a Bible study and help them delve deeper into what the Bible teaches. This gives them the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with God and find answers to the questions and challenges they face in life.
Play the video "They preach despite the bad weather." Then ask:
What can we learn from the self-sacrificing brothers who preach in the Faroe Islands?
We learn to be persevering and steadfast in the ministry, even when we face difficulties and obstacles. We also learn to adapt to different circumstances and to find ways to overcome them. We increasingly appreciate the importance of planning, organizing, and making good use of the opportunities that arise. But above all, we understand that it is love for Jehovah and for people that motivates us to keep going, even on the most challenging days.
