APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, January 5-11, 2026, Start conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 2, point 3). Assignment Prepared.

Start Conversations (3 mins.) HOUSE TO HOUSE. Show one of the “Bible Truths We Love to Teach” from appendix A of the booklet A Work of Love to a married person (lmd lesson 2 point 3).

Setting: During the house-to-house witnessing, the publisher starts a conversation with a newlywed woman and uses Ephesians 5:33 to highlight practical Bible principles that strengthen marriage, leaving open the possibility of a future visit.

Publisher: Good morning, how are you? I'd like to talk to you for a moment, if you have time.

Assistant: Fine, thank you. And you?

Publisher: Very well, thank you. I'd like to talk to you about something very interesting. I see you're married. Congratulations! Is your marriage recent?

Assistant: Yes, I'm newly married, it's been a few months.

Publisher: How wonderful! You know, today I wanted to share something the Bible teaches us about marriage. Are you interested? The Bible has a lot to say about how we should live our lives, and its words are very relevant to our daily lives.

Assistant: Ah, well, of course I'm very interested to know.

Publisher: Notice what is mentioned at Ephesians 5:33: “However, each one of you must love his wife as he loves himself. In turn, the wife must have deep respect for her husband.”

So, as we've seen, it's about the wife deeply respecting her husband and the husband loving his wife. In other words, together they must form a team for the marriage to function at its best. I think that's a very important principle for any marriage, don't you think?

Assistant: Yes, I think so. You're right. It's a very important issue for our family. As a wife, I think it's important to show respect and support, especially during difficult times.

Publisher: Exactly. Respect is a sign of love and appreciation for our husbands. That's why it's important to show respect, especially when we disagree. And the Bible gives us a perfect example of how Jesus sacrificed himself for us. He loved us so much that he gave himself for us, and that's the example we should follow in our marriages.

Assistant: Yes, that's true.

Publisher: How about I come back another day and we can talk a little more about this? I'd like to share more about what the Bible says about marriage and how we can apply it to our lives.

Assistant: Of course, I found it a very interesting topic and I'd like to know more. Thank you for sharing it with me.
