APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, December 8-14, 2025, Start conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 4, point 5). Assignment Prepared.

Start conversations (3 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. Use one of the truths in appendix A of the booklet A Work of Love (lmd lesson 4 point 5).

Setting: During house-to-house witnessing, the publisher initiates a conversation with a person to share Bible-based information about Jesus as the Son of God. The conversation proceeds respectfully, with the publisher attempting to explain the Bible's position without forcing the person, and concluding the conversation cordially.

Publisher: Hello, how are you? My name is [name].

Assistant: Hello, [name]. I'm fine. How can I help you?

Publisher: Well, I wanted to talk to you about something very important.

Assistant: What is it about?

Publisher: Many people believe that Jesus is God, others that he is the Son of God. What do you believe?

Assistant: I don't believe Jesus is the Son of God. I believe he was a great prophet, but not the Son of God.

Publisher: Without a doubt, Jesus was a great prophet. But let's see what the Bible says in Matthew 16:16-17. It says: “Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.’”

As you may have noticed, when Jesus asked his disciples who they thought he was, Peter answered without hesitation, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Peter recognized him as such. What do you think now?

Assistant: That will be one interpretation. I'm not convinced.

Publisher: I understand that you disagree, but the Bible is clear on this point.

Assistant: Well, I don't think we're going to reach any agreement. I still don't believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

Publisher: I understand. The idea isn't to argue. Have a good day.

Assistant: Thanks all the same.
