APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, October 20-26, 2025, Make Disciples (Making Disciples: A Work of Love. Lesson 12, point 3). Prepared Assignment.

Make disciples (5 mins.) lff lesson 17 summary, review and “Make this your purpose” (lmd lesson 12 point 3).

Setting: During Bible study, the publisher and student analyze the summary and the “Consider This” section of lesson 17. In the discussion, they reflect on Jesus’ example, especially his love, obedience, compassion, and treatment of others. The student expresses what qualities they value in Jesus and chooses as a goal to imitate his compassion, setting concrete actions to apply during the week.

Publisher: Well, [name], we're almost done with Lesson 17. Today we're going to go over Summary, Review, and "Aim for This."

The summary reads as follows: “Jesus loves Jehovah, and he also loves people. Since he is like his Father, the more you know Jesus, the better you will know Jehovah.”

Assistant: Yes, I understand. Jesus is a great example for us.

Publisher: Exactly. Now let's review. The first question is: Taking Jesus' example into account, how can we show that we love Jehovah?

Assistant: We can show our love for Jehovah by being obedient to his will and following his commandments. Jesus was always willing to do his Father's will, and we can follow his example by being faithful and obedient in our own lives.

Publisher: Very well. Obedience is an important way to show love for Jehovah. And considering Jesus' example, how can we show that we love people?

Assistant: We can show that we love people by being considerate, compassionate, and helping them in their needs. Jesus was always willing to help others and show them love and compassion, and we can follow his example by being more considerate and kind to those around us.

Publisher: Excellent. Jesus was always considerate of others and showed them love and compassion. What do you like most about Jesus' personality?

Assistant: I like that Jesus was very compassionate and always willing to help others. I think his ability to love and forgive others is a great example for us, and we can learn a lot from his personality and behavior.

Publisher: Yes, compassion is an important quality that Jesus demonstrated in his life. So, as we do at the end of each lesson, let's move on to the "Resolve This" section. Notice what it says: "Choose one of Jesus' qualities and try to put it into practice this week." What goal would you like to choose?

Assistant: I would like to try to be more compassionate to the people around me, just as Jesus was.

Publisher: Excellent goal! What specific steps can you take to achieve this goal? What actions can you take to demonstrate compassion toward others?

Assistant: You might visit someone who is lonely or in need, listen attentively to someone who needs to talk, or offer help to someone going through a difficult time.

Publisher: I think this is great! The Bible teaches us the following in Galatians 6:2, which I'd like you to read.

Assistant: Of course, it says: “Keep carrying one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Publisher: Thanks for reading. How about you set a goal to do something specific each day to show compassion to others?

Assistant: I think it's a great idea. I could call someone who's alone or offer help to someone who needs to carry something heavy.

Publisher: Excellent! I'm glad to see you setting goals and making plans to achieve them. Remember that Jehovah blesses us when we strive to follow his example. I congratulate you on your progress and encourage you to keep going.
