APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, October 6-12, 2025, Make Return Visits: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 7, point 3). Prepared Assignment.
Make return visits (3 min.) from house to house. Present and discuss a video from the teaching kit, but do not show it (lmd lesson 7 point 3).
Setting: During a door-to-door preaching session, the publisher meets with someone to continue a previous conversation about the usefulness of the Bible. During the discussion, the publisher shares a video on the topic “Why Study the Bible,” which explains how the Bible provides answers to questions about world problems, suffering, and evil.
Publisher: Hello, [name]. Remember I was supposed to come back to continue our conversation?
Assistant: Yes, of course, I remember. We were talking about how useful the Bible is.
Publisher: I'm so glad you remember it. Today I want to show you a very interesting video on the topic "Why Study the Bible."
Assistant: Sure, I'd love to see it (watch the video).
Publisher: What did you think of the video?
Assistant: I found it very interesting. I liked how it addressed questions we've all asked ourselves at some point and how it offered answers based on the Bible.
Publisher: Yes, the Bible is a very special book that offers us answers to life's deepest questions. Did you like the way the video explained the reasons behind the world's problems?
Assistant: Yes, it seemed logical to me. The idea that the world is under the control of evil makes sense, especially when we see all the suffering and evil in the world.
Publisher: Exactly. The Bible gives us a clear perspective on the state of the world and offers us hope for the future. What did you think about the much better future the Bible promises?
Assistant: I found it very encouraging. I'd like to learn more about it and how to be part of that better future.
Publisher: Of course. The Bible teaches us that God will soon eliminate suffering and evil. Would you like to learn more about how you can get to know God and His promises?
Assistant: Yes, I would like to know more.
Publisher: When are you available to talk more about this? Would you like to meet at a specific location or talk over the phone?
Assistant: Oh, thanks for asking. I'm available any day of the week in the afternoon. How about we meet at a park near my house?
Publisher: Sounds perfect to me. What day and time would be best for you?
Assistant: How about Wednesday at 3 p.m.?
Publisher: Sounds good to me. I'm willing to work around your schedule.
Assistant: Thank you for being so flexible.
