APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, October 6-12, 2025, Start Conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 4, point 5). Prepared Assignment.
Start conversations (1 min.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. The person wants to argue (lmd lesson 4 point 5).
Setting: During a house-to-house preaching, the publisher attempts to share with a person a biblical message about the hope of a future free from evil and suffering. However, the person displays skepticism and disbelief toward the teachings and message presented. Despite the rejection, the publisher maintains a respectful attitude and decides to end the conversation on good terms.
Publisher: Hello, how are you? My name is [name].
Assistant: Hi, I'm fine. I'm [name].
Publisher: [Name], today I wanted to talk to you about something that concerns us all greatly: the evil that exists in the world.
Assistant: Yes, there is a lot of evil and suffering.
Publisher: Did you know that very soon God will put an end to everything that causes us suffering?
Assistant: What do you mean by that?
Publisher: I'll show you a Bible verse that explains it. Look at what Isaiah 65:17 says: "For, look, I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and the former things will no longer be remembered or come into mind." As you may have noticed, God will establish a new government and bring justice to the Earth.
Assistant: You think God's going to fix all that? I think that's nonsense.
Publisher: I understand that you may have doubts, but the Bible teaches that God's purpose of ending evil and establishing a new world of peace and justice will soon be fulfilled. And that is a message of hope.
Assistant: Hope? The world has always been this way, and it always will be. I don't believe in those stories about God and the end of the world.
Publisher: I want you to know that I don't intend to argue or impose my beliefs. I just wanted to share what God intends for humanity. But if you're not interested, I understand. Have a nice day.
