Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2025

He went throughout the land doing good and healing all who were oppressed (Acts 10:38).
Jesus perfectly imitated his Father's feelings and thinking. This was evident in what he said and did, including his miracles (John 14:9).
Who can we learn from when we review Jesus' miracles?
Jesus' miracles teach us a lot not only about himself, but also about his Father. After all, it was Jehovah who gave him the power to perform miracles. Acts 10:38 says this about Jesus: "God anointed him with Holy Spirit and power, and […] he went throughout the earth doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with him." Furthermore, as we know, Jesus perfectly imitated his Father's feelings and way of thinking. This was evident in what he said and did, including his miracles (John 14:9). Let's look at three lessons we can learn from Jesus' miracles that will strengthen our faith.
What motivated Jesus to perform miracles? (Matthew 20:30-34)
FirstJesus and his Father love us very much. While on earth, Jesus showed how much he loved people by using his power to perform miracles to relieve their suffering. On one occasion, two blind people cried out to him for help (read Matthew 20:30-34). The account says that Jesus was “deeply moved” and later restored their sight.
The Greek verb translated “deeply moved” here refers to an emotion so intense and profound that it is physically felt. Such profound compassion, a reflection of the love Jesus felt, also motivated him to feed the hungry and heal a leper (Matt. 15:32; Mark 1:41). So we are convinced that Jehovah, the God of “tender compassion,” and his Son love us very much, and they are pained to see us suffer (Luke 1:78; 1 Pet. 5:7). They desperately want to end the problems that plague humanity.
What power has God given to Jesus?
SecondGod has given Jesus the power to end all of humanity's problems. There are problems we could never solve. But Jesus, through his miracles, showed that he can. For example, he has the power to eliminate the root of all of humanity's evils: inherited sin and all that it causes, such as sickness and death. (Matt. 9:1-6; Rom. 5:12, 18, 19) His miracles prove that he can heal "every kind of disease" and even raise the dead. (Matt. 4:23; John 11:43, 44) He also has the power to control violent winds and defeat evil spirits. (Mark 4:37-39; Luke 8:2) Isn't it reassuring to know that Jehovah has given his Son such power?
What can we be sure of thanks to Jesus' miracles?
Third, we can be completely confident that the blessings of the Kingdom will be realized. The miracles Jesus performed as a human on Earth were a small sample of what he will do on a grand scale as the heavenly King of God's Kingdom. Think about what life will soon be like when Christ rules the Earth. Because he removes the physical problems and diseases that plague humanity, we will all have perfect health (Isa. 33:24; 35:5, 6; Rev. 21:3, 4). We will never go hungry again or suffer from natural disasters (Isa. 25:6; Mark 4:41). We will have the overwhelming joy of welcoming our loved ones back from the graves (John 5:28, 29). As you think about the new world, what miracle are you most looking forward to?
