Make return visits (4 mins.) INFORMAL PREACHING. Present and analyze a video of the teaching kit, but do not play it (lmd lesson 8 point 3).
Publisher: Hello, here I am, as I promised you last time.
Assistant: Thank you, I told you to come at this time because it's my break time.
Publisher: Excellent. Remember the last time we spoke we were talking about the state of the world and how it seems like every day is a disaster?
Assistant: Yes, it's true. It seems that things don't stop getting worse.
Publisher: I mentioned to you that I think the Bible can offer some valuable answers and perspectives. Today I wanted to share with you a video that I think you will like and that can help us better understand this topic.
Assistant: I would like to see it.
Publisher: Brilliant. The video has as its theme: Why study the Bible?
Assistant: Interesting. I liked the way they presented the questions we all ask ourselves.
Publisher: Yes, it's true. As soon as we learn to speak, we begin to ask questions: Why is the sky blue? What are stars made of? Why do bad things happen to us? Where do we come from? Why do we die? In order to find answers, we have done the impossible, and today we know many things that we did not know before.
Assistant: Yes, it's true. Curiosity is something natural in human beings.
Publisher: But there are questions about life, suffering and death that seem to have no answers. Is there a way to answer them? What if it turns out that the answers have always been there, in the Bible?
Assistant: That's interesting. Many people believe that the Bible is full of stories and legends, that it is an outdated book or too difficult to understand.
Publisher: But is that true? Is what people say about the Bible true? For example, people believe that the Bible says that God controls the world. But does it make any sense? This world is a disaster, everywhere we see pain and suffering, disease and death, poverty and destruction. Can a God of love be responsible for all this?
Assistant: That's a good question. I would like to know more about what the Bible says about this.
Publisher: The Bible's explanation may surprise you. The Bible says that the entire world is under the control of the evil one, an invisible and evil being who runs this world full of hatred and evil.
Assistant: That's shocking. I didn't know the Bible said that.
Publisher: Yes, it is an important theme in the Bible. In 1 John 5:19, it says this: "We know that we are from God, but the whole world is under the power of the evil one."
Assistant: I had not thought that the world could be under the control of the evil one.
Publisher: Yes, but the Bible promises a much better future. It tells us why things are so bad, how God will fix them, and what we can do in the meantime. Millions of people around the world have discovered the answers to their most important questions in the Bible. Would you like to discover it too?
Assistant: Yes I'd like to.
Publisher: Brilliant. I'm glad you're interested. Why don't we meet on Friday to continue talking about the Bible?
Assistant: Yes, it seems good to me. I will give you my address so you can visit me at my house.
