APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: Week of December 23 to 29, 2024, Make disciples (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 12 point 4). Prepared Assignment.
Make Disciples (5 mins.) Talk to someone who studies the Bible with you but does not regularly attend meetings (lmd lesson 12 point 4).
Publisher: Good to see you. Before we begin our study, I wanted to talk to you for a moment. I'm worried because I've noticed that you haven't been attending meetings lately. Are you going through any problem?
Student: Hello, María. Yeah, I've been a little busy lately. Sometimes I have a hard time finding the time.
Publisher: I understand, we live in a very hectic life, but I am concerned that this may be affecting your spiritual progress. Is there anything specific that prevents you from attending? Maybe I could help you.
Student: Well, sometimes I feel like I'm not well prepared to comment. I don't want to seem like I don't know anything. But, the truth is, sometimes I feel like my comments aren't good enough.
Publisher: It is completely normal to feel this way, especially when we are new to the congregation. I went through that too. Peaceful. Rather remember that meetings are a means to learn and get to know the brothers.
Student: You're right. Sometimes I feel a little insecure.
Publisher: I also wonder if there are other obstacles. Perhaps you feel that you are not ready for baptism?
Student: Yes, sometimes I feel like that. I would like to move faster, but how will I know I'm ready?
Publisher: It is natural to have doubts because baptism is a momentous step. The important thing is that you continue attending and participating. Every step you take brings you closer to your goal. What do you think could help you feel more comfortable in meetings?
Student: Maybe the support of someone with whom to study in more depth the publications discussed in the meetings could make me feel more secure.
Publisher: That's a great idea. I can help you with that. Even each week I can invite different sisters to accompany me to support you in this task. Does it seem good to you?
Student: I would like that. I think it would motivate me a lot more.
Publisher: I want you to feel safe and prepared. Do you know that I have been praying to Jehovah to give me the courage to talk to you about this? Sometimes I also feel insecure and afraid. But I tell Jehovah in my prayers and he gives me courage and courage. You, too, can ask Jehovah to help you feel more comfortable commenting and encouraged to attend meetings. He gives us in abundance what we ask for as long as it is in harmony with his will. Always remember it.
Student: I really appreciate that, Maria. It makes me feel better knowing that I count on you.
Publisher: I'm glad to hear that. Well, we have already talked and I am happy because you have committed to attending the meetings more frequently. That's a big step.
Students: Yes, I will. Thank you for your support.
Publisher: So, let's continue with the study that corresponds to today. Let's go to lesson 25.
