God is not partial (Rom. 2:11).
Justice is one of Jehovah’s primary qualities. (Deut. 32:4) It is closely related to impartiality, and Jehovah is impartial. (Acts 10:34, 35) The languages he chose for the Bible to be written in demonstrate this. He promised that at the time of the end “true knowledge” would become “abundant”—that is, many people would understand what the Bible says. (Dan. 12:4) One thing that has made this possible is that many copies of the Scriptures and Bible publications have been translated, edited, and distributed. Jehovah’s people have now translated the Bible, in whole or in part, into more than 240 languages, and everyone can obtain a copy free of charge. What has been the result? Millions of people in all nations are accepting “the good news of the Kingdom” before the end comes. (Matt. 24:14) Jehovah is a righteous God, and he wants as many people as possible to have the opportunity to get to know him by reading his Word. What motivates him? His great love for us. w23.02 5 pars. 11-12.
THE BIBLE REFLECTS THE LOVE OF GODWhy do we say that the Bible reflects God's love? (John 21:25)
The Bible also reflects the most important quality of its author: love. (1 John 4:8) For example, consider what God included in the Bible and what he did not. He told us exactly what we need to know to be his friend, to have a happy life, and to live forever. But because Jehovah loves us so much, he has not burdened us with a lot of details that we do not need. (Read John 21:25.)
How else does the Bible reflect God's love?
Jehovah also shows us his love by treating us with dignity when he communicates with us. He doesn't give us an endless list of rules in the Bible to control even the smallest details of our lives. Instead, he uses real-life stories, exciting prophecies, and practical advice to help us make good decisions. In this way, the Bible motivates us to love God and obey him from the heart.
Why is it good for us to meditate on how Jehovah treated his servants of the past?
How does the Bible show that Jehovah cares deeply about us? And what Bible characters are the little girl, the younger brother, and the older sister in the images meditating on? (Gen. 39:1, 10-12; 2 Kings 5:1-3; Luke 2:25-38)
The Bible shows that Jehovah cares deeply about us. We know this because his Word is full of stories that express human emotions. We can relate to the Bible characters because they “felt like us.”—James 5:17. More importantly, when we look at how Jehovah treated people like us, we better understand that “Jehovah is very loving and merciful.”—James 5:11.
What do the Bible accounts of people who made mistakes teach us about Jehovah? (Isaiah 55:7)
In the Bible, we discover another way Jehovah expresses his love for us. The Scriptures assure us that God will not abandon us when we make a mistake. The Israelites sinned against Jehovah again and again, but whenever they truly repented, Jehovah forgave them. (Read Isaiah 55:7.) First-century Christians also knew how much Jehovah cared for them. For example, Jehovah inspired the apostle Paul to encourage his fellow Christians to forgive and comfort a man who repented after falling into immorality. (1 Cor. 5:1–5; 2 Cor. 2:6, 7.) We are impressed to know that Jehovah did not turn his back on his servants for making mistakes. Instead, he lovingly helped them, corrected them, and invited them back into his arms. And he promises to do the same for anyone today who sins and repents. (James 4:8–10.)Religious articles
Why is the Bible such a special gift?
Jehovah has given us a precious gift. Why is his Word so special? Because, as we have seen, the Bible teaches us that God is just, wise, and loves us very much. Furthermore, this book shows that Jehovah wants us to know him and be his friends.
