APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, December 30-January 5, 2025, Start conversations: PUBLIC PREACHING. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 3 point 5). Prepared Assignment.

Start conversations (3 mins.) PUBLIC PREACHING. (lmd lesson 3 point 5).

Setting: In a square, a sister is preaching with the literature exhibitors and a curious lady approaches.

Jehovah's Witness: Good morning. Would you like to know more about our publications?

Lady: Yes, I was just looking at the titles. What is this brochure about?

Jehovah's Witness: It is titled “Enjoy Life.” It is a practical guide to learn the basic teachings of the Bible, to understand the principles and commandments of God and to know how to apply them in our daily lives.

Lady: Interesting. And what benefits could you get from reading it?

Jehovah's Witness: It can help us find answers or important questions about life in the Bible. It can also help us improve our relationships with others, have a meaningful life, obtain inner peace, among many other benefits.

Lady: That's just what I need. Lately I've been wondering how I can improve my relationship with my children.

Jehovah's Witness: I understand perfectly. Parenting can be challenging, right? But the Bible offers many practical tips that can help us be better parents. Would you like me to read a Bible text that gives excellent advice to parents?

Lady: Yes, please.

Jehovah's Witness: In Ephesians: 6:4. Notice how it says: “Fathers, do not irritate your children, but continue to raise them according to the discipline and counsel of Jehovah.”

Lady: But it is precisely because of disciplining them that they are always upset with me.

Jehovah's Witness: The book that caught your attention, “Enjoy Life”, in its lessons 49 and 50 titled “How to Have a Happy Family”, brings very good advice for parents and also for children. If you allow me, I would like to visit you at home so that we can analyze it in the light of the Bible.

Lady: Yes, please! That seems very good to me. My name is Sofia. Please write down my address and telephone number. You could visit me on Saturday morning.

Jehovah's Witness: Excellent, I take note. My name is Maria.
