APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: December 23-29, 2024, Make Revisits, FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE.  Lesson 8 point 3. Prepared Assignment.

Make return visits (4 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. Show the person how to search for information on jw.org on a topic that interests them (lmd lesson 8 point 3).

Setting: A publisher visits the housewife again to answer a question about suffering and offer additional jw.org resources.

Publisher: It's a pleasure to see you again Katy. Last time we talked about suffering and I left a question pending. Have you had time to think about what we would have to do to live in a world without suffering?

Assistant: Hello María, yes, I have thought about it, but I don't know.

Publisher: It's understandable. The Bible gives the answer in John 17:3. Notice what it says: "This means eternal life: that they may come to know you, the only true God, and the one you sent, Jesus Christ." This helps us understand that to live in the new world, without the suffering that God offers us, we must acquire knowledge about Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ, through a study of the Bible.

Helper: So, do I have to study the Bible?

Publisher: Exactly. But that's very simple. I offer to be your teacher. We will study here at your house once a week for an hour if that's okay with you. We use a very handy manual called Enjoy Life and an app called JW library that I can show you how to download the next time I visit. But today I will teach you about our jw.org website.

Helper: That sounds great. I would like to know more about that.

Publisher: Perfect. On your phone let's visit our website jw.org.

Helper: Ok, I already opened the web page.

Publisher: You see the menu bar at the top. You can browse sections such as “Library” or “Publications”.

Helper: And how can I search for specific information?

Publisher: Very simple, you see the search bar, there you can type keywords like “suffering” or “hope” and it will show you related articles and videos.

Helper: That sounds very useful, I didn't know they had so much information available.

Publisher: Yes, there are many resources. You can also find publications in many formats to download or read online. You can even select the language. You can familiarize yourself with the site.

Helper: I will, thank you. It seems to me that there is a lot to learn. I'll wait for you on Friday at 5:00 pm. Is that okay with you?

Publisher: Sounds perfect to me. Have a great day.
