APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: December 9-15, 2024, Start conversations: INFORMAL PREACHING. (Making Disciples: A Labor of Love, Lesson 1 point 4). Prepared Assignment.

Start conversations (3 mins.) INFORMAL PREACHING. Take advantage of the opportunity to talk to someone you meet on the street while preaching from house to house (lmd lesson 1 point 4).

You notice a person carrying a beautiful flower planted in a pot and you approach respectfully:

PUBLISHER: “Good morning, I see you really like plants. How pretty they are! Have you always had this love for plants?”

HELPER: “Yes, I love gardening. It relaxes me a lot.”

PUBLISHER: “It’s true, taking care of something helps us disconnect a little from worries, right? Something that encourages me is thinking about how our planet was designed for us to enjoy things like nature. Don’t you think everything God created is wonderful?”

HELPER: “Yeah, it’s amazing. Although the world doesn’t seem so well-kept lately.”

PUBLISHER:  “True, many of us are concerned about that. In fact, the Bible promises that God not only created this beautiful planet, but He has plans to completely restore it. Look, here in Psalm 37:29 it says, …'How do you feel about this hope?'”

HELPER: Honestly, I find it very interesting. I had never heard about that promise.

PUBLISHER: “If you are interested, we have a free Bible course that explains promises like this and how God has a purpose for the earth. If you want, I can show you how it works.”

HELPER: Sounds good to me, I'd like to know what it's about.
