APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: Week of December 23-29, 2024, Start conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making disciples: a labor of love, Lesson 1 point 5). Prepared Assignment.

Start conversations (3 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (lmd lesson 1 point 5).

Setting: A Jehovah's Witness preaches to a housewife about suffering.

Publisher: Hello, good morning, my name is María. If you allow me, I would like to ask you a question about a topic that may be difficult, but very important: Why do we suffer?

Helper: Hello, my name is Katy.  And yes, it is a complicated topic. I have gone through difficult times in my life.

Publisher: I am very sorry, did you lose a loved one in death?

Helper: Yes. A few years ago, I lost my mother. It was very painful. I have always wondered why it has to be like this.

Publisher: It must have been hard. You must have felt very bad during that time, right?

Assistant: The truth is, yes, I felt alone and lost. Sometimes, even a question of my faith. And I asked myself: Why did God allow so much suffering?

Publisher: It's natural to have those questions. But did you know that Jehovah God wants us to cast our burdens on him? He cares about all of us.

Helper: Still, it is very difficult Maria.

Publisher: Yes, I understand. Life can be very challenging. What has helped you move forward?

Helper: Talking to friends and family has helped me. But there are still days when I feel overwhelmed.

Publisher: It's good to have support. Let me read you a biblical text that gives us wonderful hope. It's Psalm 34:19, Notice how it says: "Many are the difficulties of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them from all of them." Soon Jehovah will eliminate everything that makes us suffer. What do you think about that?

Helper: It is a wonderful promise. Sometimes, I imagine a land without suffering.

Publisher: That desire is understandable. And Jehovah promises us a future without suffering and he will fulfill it. I would like to come back and talk more about this with you. But, before I go, let me leave you with a question: What do we have to do to live in a world without suffering?

Helper: That's a deep question. Can you go back and show me the answer in the Bible?

Publisher: Perfect. I'll be back to talk more about this and discuss the answer together. Thanks for your time Katy. Have a great day.
