APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: November 18-24, 2024, Start conversations: INFORMAL PREACHING. (Making Disciples: A Labor of Love, Lesson 1 point 4). Prepared Assignment.

Publisher: (Smiles kindly) What you are reading seems interesting, it is a current affairs magazine.

Assistant: Yes, it talks about the economic problems that the world is facing and how it is affecting people, it is a complicated topic.

Publisher: It's definitely something that's worrying a lot of people. It's interesting that even though the world has made a lot of progress in technology and science, we still face serious problems like these. What do you think? Do you think things will ever get better?

Helper: I really don't know, sometimes it seems like things just go from bad to worse.

Publisher: I totally understand you, in fact I was thinking along similar lines, until I read something in the Bible that gave me a very different perspective. Can I share it with you?

Assistant: Sure, tell me.

Publisher: (Pulls out Bible or phone) Look here at Psalm 37:10 and 11 it says: In a little while the wicked will be no more, you will look Where they were and they will be no more, but the meek will inherit the earth and fully enjoy abundant Peace. I found it very encouraging to read that God promises a future with Peace for those who love to do what is right. What do you think about this idea?

Assistant: Well, it sounds very nice, but I have a hard time imagining how something like that could happen.

Publisher: That's a valid question, something that helped me understand how this promise will be fulfilled was thinking about the power of God and how he has already fulfilled other promises in the past. For example, there are historical records that confirm that he fulfilled prophecies related to ancient ones. Have you ever thought about how the Bible could explain what is happening in the world today?

Assistant: Not much, but I have heard that he talks about the future.

Publisher: Exactly, and the best thing is that it not only talks about the future but also gives us practical guidance to cope with current challenges. On jw.org there is an article that explains how to have peace even in the midst of problems. You would like me to show you how to find it.

Assistant: Yes, it would be good to take a look at it.

Publisher: Perfect (Show website on phone) Here you can find information on many topics that affect us daily. If you are interested, I can stop by another day and talk more about what you find. What do you think?

Helper: Sounds good thanks for sharing this with me.
