TREASURES FROM GOD'S WORD: February 26, March 3, 2024, Imagine yourself in a new world full of peace, Prepared Speech.
Imagine yourself in a new world full of peace (10 mins.)
Sometimes, on social networks we see video titles that say: Expectation versus reality, that is, what one wants compared to what one has.
We are going to do something similar in this section of Bible treasures, with the title: Imagine, in a new world full of peace. When one compares reality, what we have compared to the expectation or imagination we desire, things are totally different from the biblical point of view.
When one compares reality with imagination, one may encounter some pros and cons. For example, in the case of reality, we can observe that there are limits, that it is consistent and that unfortunately reality cannot change as we wish, even if we would like things to be different. And let's see with the Bible what the reality is today. If we see in Psalm 11 verses 2 and 3 it says the following……….
LET'S READ PSALMS 11:2,3.
See how the wicked bend the bow; They place their arrows on the string to shoot from the darkness at those who are upright in heart. 3 When the foundations are demolished, what can the righteous do?”
What is the reality that is fulfilled according to this biblical text in our days? They talk here about drawing the bow, shooting arrows, that is, they refer to wars, and when we see the reality on our planet, we see how much violence exists when creating wars that are unjust and meaningless in most cases.
Nowadays, in so many countries, so much tension is created that, although it is apparently a war between two nations, it affects the world and that affectation, of course, brings disappointment and anxiety. That is why one of the cons of reality is that it is essential and can be uncertain, and that it can contain painful or difficult experiences.
And today no one respects public order, there is violence everywhere. Thats the reality. Now, what is the imagination or the expectation? If we look at Psalm 11, now verse 5 says…..
LET'S READ PSALMS 11:5.
Jehovah examines both the righteous and the wicked; He hates everyone who loves violence.
When you hate something, you want those things to disappear from your face or your presence, and Jehovah clearly says that he hates violence. Therefore, within a short time he will cleanse the earth of all evil.
That means that there will be no people who make others suffer. Those are our expectations, that is our imagination. It is interesting that when one thinks about the benefits of imagination, one of those says that imagination has no limits and can create anything we can conceive.
And imagination allows the creation of new ideas, new solutions, new possibilities. And thinking about what Jehovah promises here, to end violence, revives us. That is why it is worth being careful with the use of social networks.
If we get caught up in just watching news that causes disappointment, despair, rather than encouraging us, we are going to become so disillusioned that we are going to think that what Jehovah offers will only remain that, in imagination, and will not become a reality.
So we are not ruling out that we should be realistic in observing what is happening around us, but not concentrate only on that in such a way that we lose the imagination of what Jehovah offers us, a world full of peace.
So what should we do? We want to reflect on Jehovah's promises. When you imagine what you don't expect. In a short time, we will wait patiently for that new world that Jehovah offers. And what does he offer? Let's now review Psalm 13 verses 5 and 6. If he didn't find it, please accompany me with the reading, it says like this ………….
LET'S READ PSALMS 13:5,6.
For my part, I trust in your loyal love; my heart will rejoice for your acts of salvation.
6 I will sing to the Lord, because he has rewarded me generously.
We want to do what verse 5 says, trust in the loyal love of Jehovah, a love very attached to his purpose, that nothing and no one can change. That is the reality, that is what awaits us soon. That's why let's use our imagination, thinking about what Jehovah will soon make a reality.
Therefore, although reality must be observed and lived, we need to use our imagination a lot at this time, to be able to endure and serve Jehovah with joy. The recommendation we have is to read Ezekiel 34:25. Let's notice the following words and, as we read them, imagine that situation.
LET'S READ EZEKIEL 34:25.
“'”I will make a peace pact with them and I will eliminate the wild beasts from the country so that my sheep can live safely in the desert and sleep in the forests.
When reading the biblical text it appears to mention animals. But using the symbolic sense he is referring to people, evil, cruel, violent people, like wild beasts whom God says that he will very soon eliminate.
But when he refers to his sheep, he is referring to his servants, deer who will enjoy peace. And notice that he mentions specific places here, in the desert and in the forests. Using our imagination, we can think about what awaits us in the future. All of us, without exception, men, women and children, will feel safe wherever we go.
Logically, in the new world each one will have a space to live, but that will not limit us to staying in that place, we will be able to travel and see new places, be able to enjoy Jehovah's wonderful creation, and good friends that we will have in everything. the planet.
If we look at our activity guide, the reality is that a child, a child, would never be allowed to be left alone in the forest at the expense of any beast, but using our imagination, we can see here how Jehovah offers that this will be a reality. Can see all the elements that are there? a girl sleeping in the field, there is an owl, too, but above that girl's head a little higher up she sees what is close to her, it is one of the five largest cats in the world. It is normally called a black panther, but it is a leopard with that color characteristic according to scientists themselves. That animal in reality is very dangerous for human beings, but using our imagination in the reality that Jehovah offers will be like a kitten sleeping next to us.
We do not want to stop imagining what Jehovah offers us, a world of peace and tranquility for all, and until that time comes let us use our reality to serve Jehovah and to show him how much we love him and to feel deeply grateful for giving us his word, know his promises, have hope for all this evil reality that we see today. Very soon it will be only in the imagination and until those memories will disappear forever.
