APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: February 26-March 3, 2024, Make disciples: (Enjoy life forever!, Lesson 13, review and “Purpose this”). Lesson 12. Prepared Assignment.
Make Disciples (5 mins.) lff lesson 13 summary, review, and “Purpose This.” Use an article from the “Find Out More” section to help the student understand what God thinks about false religions (th lesson 12).
Publisher: Luis, How could you summarize what we have studied so far?
Student: Well, just as the summary says, false religions have only served to tarnish Jehovah's name with their teachings and the atrocities they have supposedly committed in his name. But it is clear to us after studying this lesson that Jehovah will soon put an end to all of them.
Publisher: That's right, without a doubt. Now let's review: What do you think about what false religions have done and taught?Student: I think that false religions have tarnished Jehovah's reputation with their teachings, since they have exchanged his truth for lies. Furthermore, they have been accumulating sins up to heaven, as Revelation 18:5 says, since they have gotten involved in political affairs, they have supported wars, caused and approved the death of many people, and some of their leaders live surrounded by luxuries. money to their members, thereby showing that they do not know God, nor do they teach people to approach him.
Publisher: Excellent response. And in all this, what does Jehovah think of false religions?
Student: Jehovah feels indignant, he in no way approves of them. They have prostituted themselves by collaborating closely with governments in exchange for money and other favors. And while it is true that Jehovah loves people, he is furious with the leaders of these false religions because they tarnish his reputation, mistreat people, and do not reflect his love.
Publisher: That is correct. And, what will God do to false religions?
Student: In the note for this lesson we saw that in Revelation 18:9-15 it says that they will be destroyed.
Publisher: That is correct. In proposing this it is suggested that at the next congregation meeting, you can ask someone why he decided to be a Jehovah's Witness. But taking into account the topic of the lesson, what other objectives could you set for yourself, Luis?
Student: I could examine myself to see if I have really left the false religion to which I belonged before studying the Bible. This is very important, because he could still be manifesting some of his traits.
Publisher: It seems like a very important objective to me. Now let's briefly analyze the article «Lies that do not move away from God». This will help us better understand what Jehovah thinks about false religions. Let's review some of these lies: The Ministry of the Holy Trinity: This has caused many people to fail to know and love God, because they believe that he is a mysterious being. Would it be easier for these people to know and love Jehovah if they knew him?
Student: Of course. That happened to me.
Publisher: That's right. No wonder Jehovah thinks this way about false religions. You can continue reviewing the article and analyze the other lies.
Student: Of course.
