APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: November 6-12, 2023, Responses to the Video of the first conversation.
Video of the first conversation (5 mins.): Analysis with the audience. Play the video First Conversation: The Bible (2Ti 3:16, 17). Stop the video at each pause and ask the questions that appear in it.
What would you say if the person is busy?
What we could tell you is that we understand that you are busy at the moment and that we greatly value the work you are doing. Since time flies, however, if at any time you can find a free moment, we would very much like to share with you a brief Bible passage or, if you prefer, we could ask you when would be a good time to visit you again, and thus let you a question for you to ponder until we return.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
If the person is busy, I would tell them that I understand that they are busy at that moment, and that the least we want is to interrupt them, and we can ask them when it would be convenient to return, and promise that the next time we return we will be brief and respect their time. .
We could tell him: Okay, I understand, I will visit you another time, when it is more convenient for you. But before I go I would like to read just one biblical text that really gives us something important to think about.
Or we could also tell you that we are sorry for having visited at an inappropriate time. As you may know, I am a Jehovah's Witness and I wanted to share with you an important thought from the Bible. But since you cannot listen at this moment, I would like to leave you a treatise that I consider a very important topic, it will not take you long to read it, but it will interest you.
What would you say if it was a child who opened the door? ( mwb16.09 2).
First we would greet him and ask him if his parents are home, since asking parents is important to show respect for the authority of the family, as mentioned in Proverbs 6:20. If the child invites us to come to his house, what we could do is tell him that we thank him, but we will explain that we prefer to talk to his parents.
And if you are a teenager, we could ask you about your parents first and if they are not available, it is advisable to ask if the parents let you read some of our publications, if so, we will offer you information and direct you to the official jw.org page.
How would you offer the person a teaching kit publication?
Since we are talking about the advice that the Bible gives, we could tell you that today many people have put the Bible aside, but we have a publication that talks about the value of the Bible in our times and we would offer the booklet “Enjoy Life ».
As already mentioned, we would offer him the Enjoy Life pamphlet, and we would ask him the question: Are there reasons to believe what the Bible promises?, and then I would encourage him to read it, and in particular I would recommend lesson 4 and tell him: If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you.
