TREASURES OF THE BIBLE, Week of July 31 to August 6, 2023, "Do you think that physical work lowers you?", Prepared Speech.

TREASURES OF THE BIBLE, 31-July-6-August-2023, "Do you think physical work lowers you?", Prepared Speech.

"Do you think that physical work lowers you?" (10 min.)

No job lowers people, but rather dignifies them And even more so if it is a job in favor of true worship. Let's see what happened when they began to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. There were people who did not have a position of responsibility, but some were not willing to carry out said Works and others who were willing, as Nehemiah 3:1 shows, which says:

LET'S READ NEHEMIAH 3:1.

Eliasiba the high priest and his brothers the priests began to rebuild the Sheep Gate.b They hallowed it and placed the gate leaves. In addition, they sanctified the section that goes to the Tower of Meád and to the Tower of Hananel.

As we noticed the high priest and his brothers did not think they were too important and had no problem helping in this type of work.

Just as these people supported each other, there were also people who were not willing to give their support, because they believed that this type of work would lower them, as some majestic tecoitas did, which we should not imitate, rather we should imitate the common tecoitas that they did give their support.

Perhaps some think that the work is only for men, because it is not so, for the reconstruction of the Wall of Jerusalem that is going to use women, the daughters of Salum, they were in said construction as mentioned by Nehemiah 3:12 which says like this ……

LET'S READ NEHEMIAH 3:12.

The next section was repaired by Shalum the son of Halohes and his daughters. He was prince of half the district of Jerusalem.

As we could see, although Salum was a prince, his daughters were willing to do that difficult and dangerous job. The attitude of the daughters of health was very different from that of the important men of the Te cuitas who did not want to lower themselves as Nehemiah 3:5 mentions. Accompany me with the reading please it says like this:

LET'S READ NEHEMIAH 3:5.

The Tecoites repaired the next section, but their important men did not want to lower themselves to work for* those in charge of the work.

Let's imagine the joy of these women when they saw that the construction was finished in 52 days, and that they contributed a grain of sand for this wonderful work. At present there are sisters willing to work delighted in any field of the construction of Kingdom Halls, Assembly Halls or any special Rank of sacred service, maintenance of buildings Dedicated to Jehovah and they do everything with great enthusiasm even though they do not have experience they try to do it in the best way.

This is why our sisters play an important role in Jehovah's organization and in our congregations there are tasks that require physical effort or that some consider of little importance, cleaning the hall, taking care of the bathrooms, sometimes these tasks go unnoticed .

For this reason we must see these works of great importance. Whether we are young or old, all Christians must adopt the same opinion of Christ about greatness, in the congregation there are many tasks that we can carry out.

So never be offended if you ask us to do something that seems humble, simple, do it with all your heart. For this reason, as parents we must encourage our children, whether they are small or adolescents, instill in them a love for the simplest jobs, but let us do it with joy, with joy, whether it is in our Kingdom Halls or Assembly Halls that they see that these tasks so humble, they are great for us, and that in this way we are fulfilling our God.

But do our children see that we do these humble tasks? Do we set an example with our actions? If we do, this will be recorded in our children.

A brother who serves at the world headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses clearly remembers the example of his parents and recounts: “The way they participated in cleaning the kingdom hall and the assembly hall taught me that this was important to them. They often volunteered to do work on behalf of the congregation or fellowship no matter how simple they might seem. His attitude has helped me accept willingly the work assignments I receive at Bethel.”

For this reason, how do we feel when we are asked to do any job? We feel joyful and content to carry them out, because the work glorifies our God Jehovah the creator of decent work.
