Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

They believed that the Kingdom of God was going to appear at any moment (Luke 19:11).
The disciples of Jesus believed that the Kingdom would appear “at any moment” and deliver them from Roman rule. And we long for the day when the Kingdom of God removes evil and brings a new world of righteousness (2 Pet. 3:13). Of course, we must be patient and wait for the moment that Jehovah has marked. He gave Noah plenty of time to build the ark and do his job as a “preacher of righteousness” (2 Pet. 2:5; 1 Pet. 3:20). He listened to Abraham when he questioned over and over his decision to wipe out the wicked inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen. 18:20-33). For centuries, he had immense patience with the unfaithful nation of Israel (Neh. 9:30, 31). And today we see that Jehovah is patient because he is giving all the people he brings to be his friends time to repent (John 6:44; 1 Tim. 2:3, 4; 2 Pet. 3 : 9). Jehovah's example gives us good reason to be patient as we continue to preach and teach others. w20.09 10 paras. 8, 9
What are some examples of patience that we can imitate?
We find fine examples of patience in faithful servants of the past and today. Habakkuk wanted to see an end to wickedness, but he confidently said, “I will stand at my guard post” (Hab. 2:1). The apostle Paul said that he had a heartfelt desire to finish his ministry. Even so, he patiently continued to give “a full testimony of the good news” (Acts 20:24).
Consider the example of a couple who graduated from Gilead School and went to serve in a country where there are few Witnesses and where the majority religion is not Christian. They found few people who wanted to study the Bible. Instead, their classmates in other countries sent them exciting news about all the people they helped get baptized. Although the work progressed slowly, the couple continued to preach patiently. After eight years of preaching without any apparent results, they finally had the joy of having one of their students become a Witness. What do these examples from the past and today have in common? That they did not become lazy or let their hands rest, and Jehovah blessed them for their patience. So that,
How does faith strengthen our desire to continue preaching?
Because we have faith in the message we carry, we want as many people as possible to hear it. We trust the promises of God's Word (Ps. 119:42; Isa. 40:8). We have seen some of the prophecies of the Bible come true in our day. We have also seen how people improve their lives when they begin to put biblical advice into practice. All of this convinces us more and more that the whole world needs to hear the good news of the Kingdom.
