APLPLY YOUR SELFTO THE FIELD MINISTRY: August 15-21, 2022. Bible Course Lesson .9 assignment prepared.
Bible course (5 mins.): lff lesson 06 point 5 (th lec. 9).
PUBLISHER: Now point 5 tells us that the Biblical account of creation makes sense. Do you think that the Bible's explanation of how the world was created makes sense?
STUDENT: Sure, because it's a detailed description of the steps God took to create everything we see.
PUBLISHER: Exactly, that's why, in chapter 1 of Genesis, the Bible describes the origin of the Earth and all life on it. Is that story true, or is it just a legend?
STUDENT: It is indeed a story.
PUBLISHER: Exactly, that's why now we are going to see a video where this whole process is explained, let's see the video.
STUDENT: Okay.
PUBLISHER: (After watching the video), now we have to answer some questions, the first is Does the Bible teach that the Earth and the life on it were created in 6 literal days, out of 24 hours?
STUDENT: Well, no, because in the video it was said that scientists calculate that the universe is 14 billion years old and also that the Hebrew word that the Bible uses for “day” can refer to periods of time of different lengths.
PUBLISHER: That's right, when analyzing in depth and taking into account what the investigations say, we can say that the Earth was not created in a period of 6 days, now the other question asks: Do you think that the biblical account of creation is logical and makes sense? Why?
STUDENT: Yes, because in it we see a logical order in which Jehovah created everything on Earth in an orderly manner.
PUBLISHER: Exactly, now that's why let's read what Genesis 1:1 says, read it please.
STUDENT: Sure, you say…
PUBLISHER: Thanks, most scientists say that the universe had a beginning. Does what they think match what you just read in the Bible?
STUDENT: Of course, because here it says in the beginning God created, meaning that there was a beginning, a beginning.
PUBLISHER: Thanks for your good answer, that's right, however, another thing people think is that God created a simple life form and then let it evolve, let's read Genesis 1:21, 25, 27 please.
STUDENT: Sure, you say…
PUBLISHER: Thanks. Does the Bible teach that God made a simple life form and then let it evolve into fish, mammalian animals, and human beings? Or did he himself create all the “kinds” of life?
STUDENT: No, the Bible itself says that he was in charge of creating all forms of life, and we can say that they were the same as we see today.
PUBLISHER: That is the answer, Jehovah was in charge of creating personally and definitively everything we see in creation, now we will see point 6, we are going to analyze it.
STUDENT: Sounds good to me.
