Congregation Book Study, June 27-July 3, 2022, Lesson 10, Answers.

Congregation Bible study (30 min.): lff lesson 10.

1. What is the main reason for meeting?

Today, Jehovah's Witnesses also meet together, and this gives them great joy. All over the world, every week they gather to praise God, sing to him and pray to him together.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The most important reason is to praise Jehovah, Psalm 26:12, my feet are on solid ground, in the great congregation I will praise Jehovah.

“In the great congregation I will praise Jehovah”, that is why we also gather to praise God, sing to him and pray to him together.

The main reason for meeting together is so that we can praise Jehovah, and also because it makes us happier.

2. What will you learn at our meetings?

If you attend, you will learn more about Jehovah and his beautiful qualities. The more you know of his love for you, the more you want to be his friend.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

You'll also discover how he can help you have a meaningful life. The meetings revolve around the Word of God, and they clearly explain what it means.

The more we learn about Jehovah, the more love we will have towards him and knowing his beautiful qualities, the more we will want to be his friends.

3. What will the people you meet at meetings bring to you?

At our meetings, you'll meet people who really care about each other and who, like you, want to learn more about God. There you will hear encouraging ideas based on the Bible. You will also be able to talk with single and married people who have managed to overcome different types of problems.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Jehovah asks us to keep an eye on one another to motivate us to show love and do good deeds, while continuing to gather together.

In our meetings, we will meet people who really care for each other and who, like you, want to learn more about God, talk with people who have managed to overcome different types of problems.

They motivated us a lot because they encouraged us to do good things, they helped us to see how true affection is shown and we will learn from their experiences to overcome any difficulty.

We will meet people who will help us learn more about Jehovah. We will hear encouraging ideas based on the Bible. We will talk with people who have managed to overcome different types of problems, possibly like ours.

4. Meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses

Read Colossians 3:16 and discuss the following:

How did the early Christians worship Jehovah?

The early Christians worshiped Jehovah, with psalms, praises to God, and spiritual songs sung with gratitude.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

They met together to worship Jehovah, and thus encouraged Jehovah, and thus encouraged one another by reading the scriptures and praising Jehovah.

They taught the word of God, they sang psalms and praises in gratitude to Jehovah.

Questions after the video, “What are our meetings like?”:

What similarities do you find between what is done in a Kingdom Hall and what Colossians 3:16 says?

At the meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses you can study the Bible and make good friends, because they are kind and polite.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The similarities are that in a kingdom hall as in the past, we also praise Jehovah through songs, we are taught more about him and we encourage each other.

Lectures are presented every week, at the beginning and at the end there is singing.

Looking at the video or drawing, is there anything in particular that you liked about our meetings?

That people are kind and respectful to people who want to join the meetings.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Personally, what I have always liked is the warmth that is enjoyed in the meetings and the encouragement that we offer each other, because a real interest is perceived, apart from the fact that we also enjoy beautiful biblical conferences that strengthen our faith.

It is beautiful to be able to interact with our brothers and learn from their comments.

Read 2 Corinthians 9:7 and discuss the following:

Why is there no asking for money at meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses?

Because we don't have to give to receive something in return, we have to give things willingly and with joy.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Because the Bible says that God loves those who give with joy, that is why each one should give what they decide in their hearts.

Donations are voluntary and in the amount that each one can according to their circumstances.

What part of that meeting do you find most useful or interesting?

"Let's remember what love is like: It's not arrogant." I think the video is very important because it teaches us how a person who wants everything for himself behaves.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Each has its purpose and will help increase our love for Jehovah.

5. It takes effort to attend meetings

Read Luke 2:39-42 and discuss the following:

Do you think that this trip to Jerusalem required effort?

Yes, because they had to walk three days through a mountainous region.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Of course, yes, since it was a long distance that they had to travel and also the trip was made by entire families, including children and the elderly.

Approximately 100 kilometers from Nazareth to Jerusalem and traveling with small children must have been challenging and exhausting.

And if so, what obstacles might you have to overcome to get to meetings?

Work, health, family, etc.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

All kinds of obstacles, because it was almost a three-day trip.

Many of us have to adjust our schedules, because if we have a full-time job, we may have to wrestle with our bosses to get permission to leave a little early, or if the kingdom hall is too far away, we may have to travel long distances to get there.

Do you think it would be worth the effort? Why?

Yes, because in the end all the effort was to be able to go to the temple.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Of course, it is worth all the effort, because by attending the meetings we can strengthen our relationship with Jehovah and therefore our spirituality.

Yes, learning Jehovah's truth, applying it, and seeing its benefits in our current and future lives is priceless.

Read Hebrews 10:24, 25 and discuss the following:

Why should we be in the habit of going to meetings?

To encourage each other.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Take a look, together with your teacher, at what will be covered in one of the meetings this week.

Because in them we encourage each other, we motivate each other to continue on the right path and to continue doing what is right in the eyes of Jehovah.

Being able to praise Jehovah, learn from him and do his will. It will also serve to encourage one another to endure whatever comes our way as we serve Jehovah.

WHAT SOME SAY: “You don't have to join any group to worship God. Religion is something of each one”.

What Bible text or example shows what Jehovah expects us to do?

The text of Hebrews 10:24, 25, tells us that we have to be aware of our brothers and thus be able to motivate them and that they motivate us.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

For example, 1 Corinthians 14:40 says that Jehovah expects us to do everything in a dignified and orderly manner and that is precisely what is done in God's organization.

Hebrews 10:24,25, Jesus also went with his family to the meetings in Jerusalem.

Review

Why does Jehovah invite us to attend meetings?

To learn more about him and his beautiful qualities.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Because that way he wants us to praise him, also because in them we are going to learn and better understand everything he wants to tell us through his word the Bible.

It is an opportunity to get to know him better and praise him.

What will you learn at meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses?

They will learn from the word of God and can also receive public speaking training if they wish.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

By attending the meetings we will have the opportunity to learn more about Jehovah, to strengthen our friendship with him, and to worship him with others.

To understand the scriptures. Get to know Jehovah better and his qualities. And understand how to become friends of God.

How else do you think the meetings could help you?

In many ways, because that way we can learn more about God and how he is, we can also learn from our brothers.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The meetings can also help me to strengthen my conviction that I am still on the right path, since in them we are only surrounded by people of faith who want to please Jehovah.

To associate with others who will encourage us to serve Jehovah more. In addition to preparing ourselves better in different facets of the ministry.
