Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

He who looks at the clouds will not reap (Eccl. 11:4).
Jehovah's Witnesses do not measure our success by the number of people we bring into God's organization (Luke 8:11-15). If we keep preaching the good news and teaching others, Jehovah will be pleased with our work. Why? Because we are obeying him and his Son (Mark 13:10; Acts 5:28, 29). We have an additional reason to preach now: that the end of this system is fast approaching. There is very little time left to participate in this life-saving work. Do not think that to collaborate in this important work you have to wait until you have the ideal circumstances. This is the time to strengthen his motivation, to increase his knowledge of the Bible, to be courageous and to learn to be disciplined. Join the more than eight million fishers of men throughout the Earth, and he will feel “the happiness that comes from the Lord” (Neh. 8:10; Luke 5:10). Resolve to participate fully in this work until Jehovah says enough is enough. w20.09 7 paras. 18-20
a) According to Luke 5:8-11, why was Peter afraid? b) If a student feels like Pedro, what can help him?
Our main motive for preaching is love for Jehovah. If we have feelings of insecurity, this love can help us overcome them. When Jesus invited Peter to become a fisher of men, he told him, “Don't be afraid anymore” (read Luke 5:8-11). Not that Peter was afraid of what might happen to him if he became a disciple. But Jesus had just used his power to catch a large number of fish, and Peter was so amazed that he felt unworthy to work with Jesus. And you? Do you feel overwhelmed when you think about all that it takes to be a disciple of Christ? If so, strengthen your love for Jehovah, Jesus, and your neighbor, and you will be motivated to accept Jesus' invitation to become fishers of men.—Matt. 22:37, 39; John 14:15.
What other reasons motivate us to preach?
Let's look at other reasons that motivate us to preach. One is that we want to obey this command of Jesus: “Go and make disciples” (Matt. 28:19, 20). Another is that people are “battered and abandoned” and desperately need to learn Kingdom truth (Matt. 9:36). Jehovah wants all kinds of people to come to an accurate knowledge of the truth and be saved.—1 Tim. 2:4.
How does Romans 10:13-15 show how important preaching is?
Something that will motivate you to preach is to think about the effect that this work can have. The fisherman catches fish to sell or eat, but we “catch” people to save their lives (read Romans 10:13-15; 1 Tim. 4:16).
