For example, the Bible answers these questions: How did life begin? Why are we here? Why do good people suffer? Is there life after death? world wants peace? And what will become of our planet?
2. How does the Bible help us enjoy our daily lives?
It helps us thanks to all the advice we find in it. Tips for family happiness, to combat stress or to enjoy work. Therefore, as 2 Timothy 3:16 says, we have no doubt that "the whole Bible is useful" and profitable.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
He helps us by giving us good advice, because he teaches us to be happy, he also shows us how to combat stress and learn to enjoy work.
3. The Bible guides us
Questions after reading Psalm 119:105:
What did the writer of this psalm think of the Bible?
With these words that we have just read, the psalmist reflected that he loved the word of God. In fact, throughout Psalm 119 the value of God's word or message is highlighted. So we can see that the psalmist was a person who was aware of his spiritual need and looked to the sayings and word of God for guidance.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The psalmist saw the Bible as a light for his life, just like when we go down a dark path and we need a light to guide us and not fall, that is how the Bible was for this writer.
What do you think of the Bible?
We know that the Bible is the Word of God. And he is the most qualified person in the universe to give us guidance as he knows us better than anyone. Therefore, we must see the Bible as the perfect guide that helps us overcome any obstacle.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
I personally think that the only way we can be happy and have a good life is if we follow the advice that Jehovah has left us in it, so as we saw in the previous question, the Bible is a light for our lives.
4. The Bible answers our questions
And we've all been through situations where the Bible has enlightened us. For example, perhaps a brother is offered a job that he really needs, but the schedule is demanding, and if he accepts the job, he will have to miss quite a few meetings and miss other activities related to true worship. In cases like these we must let the Word of God be a lamp to our feet.
Questions after the video, "Never lose hope":
What kind of questions did the woman in the video have?
The sister was a teacher and sometimes at school she saw children with disabilities from birth. So she wondered why God, who is love, did not solve the problem of these children if he has the power to do so.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
For example, when she saw the suffering of disabled children, she thought that this didn't make sense because God is love, and besides, he could end suffering, but why didn't he?
How did studying the Bible help her?
The study of the Bible helped him to solve doubts that he had for more than 25 years. A student of hers taught her the Bible and helped her find in her own Bible the answers to her questions.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
As she began to study the Bible, little by little she was shown how she could find the answers to her questions, and she mentions that suddenly all the questions she had asked for 25 years began to be answered.
Question after reading Matthew 7:7:
Do you think the Bible could answer some of your questions? For example, which ones?
The Bible answers questions like: Who is God? For what purpose did he create the human being? Why is there evil and suffering on earth and when will it end? What future awaits the earth and man? What must be done to obtain eternal life? and many more.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
For example, Which ones? We know that the Bible can answer the questions we have, such as, What is the meaning of our life? Why are we suffering? Or if one day everything bad that happens today will end?
5. We can enjoy reading the Bible
What do the young people in the video think about reading?
Referring to reading in general, a little sister comments that sometimes it is difficult for her to understand what she reads and, therefore, she does not like to read. Other young people say that she bores them or that they get distracted by other activities. But with the Bible it is different.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
These young people agree that they do not like to read because sometimes they get confused and cannot understand it. One of the young women also commented that she finds books quite boring, and another young man said that he is easily distracted.
Why do they see the Bible reading differently?
They see it differently because the Bible is not just any book. A little brother says that when he examines her well, he realizes that he can learn a lot.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Another sister says the Bible taught her to think before she speaks. And another brother comments that now she cares much more about people and tries to help them.
In addition, a little sister also comments that the Bible gives her strength to continue. It is a very useful book that can make you happy, she says.
Because it is not just any book, since it is very worthwhile because by examining it well you can learn a lot, for example, I teach you to think before you speak, it has made you better people, it gives you the strength to continue, it is also very useful and they can be happy if they follow his advice.
Question after reading Romans 15:4:
Would you like to know more about the comfort and hope the Bible offers?
The Bible says that God wants to give us "a future and a hope." In fact, as we have read, one reason God has given us the Bible is so that through "the comfort of the Scriptures we may have hope." As we can see, the advice of the Bible helps us to have a positive attitude on a day-to-day basis, and its promises give us wonderful hope for the future.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Of course yes, because everything that is exposed in the Bible has been written for our benefit.
6. We can understand the Bible with the help of someone else
What do we need to understand the Bible? (See verses 30 and 31).
Many have found it helpful to have someone help them understand what the Bible teaches. That is what Philip did with the Ethiopian eunuch. He helped him understand what he was reading from the prophet Isaiah.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We need someone to help us understand it, just as Philip did with the Ethiopian.
Many people today do not know the Bible, so it may take repeated visits and thorough study for weeks, months, or even a year or more before they come to faith and can be baptized.
WHAT SOME SAY: "Studying the Bible is a waste of time."
What would you say? Why?
It is not a waste of time because the advice we find in it comes from God, who is the wisest being in the universe. So we are sure that by reading the Bible we are listening to the voice of Jehovah and we will be happy to do so.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Of course not, because the Bible really helps us make our lives better.
