Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022
Sunday March 20, 2022
I am determined to obey your rules all the time, until the end (Ps. 119:112).
Patience is needed to bring a student to dedication and baptism. But sooner or later we have to find out if he wants to serve Jehovah or not. Is it seen that he strives to obey the commands of Jesus? Or do you only study because you find it interesting to learn about the Bible? Let's analyze from time to time what progress the student is making. For example, does he express how he feels about Jehovah? Does he pray to Him? (Ps. 116:1, 2). Do you like to read the Bible? (Ps. 119:97). Does he go to meetings regularly? (Ps. 22:22). Has he made the necessary changes in his life? Has he started talking to his family and friends about what he is learning? (Ps. 9:1). And, above all, does he want to be a Jehovah's Witness? (Ps. 40:8). If he is not advancing in any of these fields, Let's carefully try to find out why and then talk about it kindly but frankly. w20.10 18 paras. 14, 15
How can the teacher imitate the good example set by Paul according to 1 Thessalonians 2:7, 8?
Teachers must take a heartfelt interest in their students. They should see them as their future spiritual brothers (read 1 Thessalonians 2:7, 8). It is not easy for them to leave their friends in the world and make the changes they need to serve Jehovah. So let us help them find true friends in the congregation. If we spend time with them on other occasions apart from the Bible class, we will show that we are their friends. We'll show genuine interest by calling, texting, or stopping by once in a while.
What do we want students to find in the congregation, and why?
An African proverb says: "It takes a village to raise a child." Similarly, we might say, "It takes a congregation to make a disciple." That is why good teachers introduce their students to the brothers in the congregation who can be a good influence on them. Thus students can receive the spiritual and emotional support of God's people. We want each student to feel that she has a place in the congregation and that she is part of our spiritual family. If we can draw him into our loving Christian brotherhood, it will be easier for him to let go of close friendships with people who do not help him love Jehovah.—Proverbs 13:20. If his friends in the world turn their back on him, he will know that he can make real friends in Jehovah's organization (Mark 10:29, 30; 1 Pet. 4:
